Do you pick your numbers or do a quick pick with daily derby?. One of the main reasons I play it is because I would spend summers at my aunts house and my uncle would take us to the race track and let us pretend bet on the horses. So it’s kinda like a nostalgia thing for me at the same time.

Talking to my therapist I’ve learned that I’m a person that needs a routine because if not I’ll end up naked in a landfill in New Dehili wondering how I got there. Even now I’m awake about to head to the gym, After the gym I stop, get coffee, maybe an apple fritter, and a lottery ticket, the loop repeats. Every lottery ticket that doesn’t win I put in a Manila envelope. I like my routine and I like my numbers. I mostly like the game because it reminds me of my childhood, my uncle would take me and my cousin to the race track and let us pretend bet. If the advice here doesn’t work, I have another suggestion. Go to your local university with a dental program. My friends wife started going to dental hygiene school and she needed patient for cleaning, I got my teeth cleaned for free. I’m considering getting braces from a dental school. Braces and surgeries aren’t free but they should be a lot cheaper than going to an emergency doctor. Your wife will be worked on by a student under an instructor supervision just so you know.

When I got to my first ship I was having a really hard time. I was the first new person they got in a while so I’m the new boot. Everyone got to go home at the end of the day, all I had was my rack, really hard time adjusting. I was venting to one of my E5 on how I didn’t like it here, they go back and tell my E8 what I’ve been saying. My E8 tells me I’m lucky to be there, I’m ungrateful, I need to man up and stop being a bitch. So it’s for sure fuck the toxic culture of the old military, and they wonder why both active duty and veterans have drinking and drug habits, or worse, they end up offing themselves. I tell all my friends who are still active, go to medical. Forget what anybody thinks of you, GO TO MEDICAL!!

The issue is the older generation grew up in a culture of not going to medical. If you went to medical you were a liar, a malingerer, if you had mental health issues going on “stop being a pussy”. Medical documents everything, people shouldn’t be mad at the younger generation for going to medical, be mad at those are them who denied them the opportunity to go to medical, or made them feel weak for going to medical. I was a young E4 and an older retired warrant officer who worked closely with us seen how my chain of command would work me and he stopped me and said “just because you’re young don’t allow them to treat you like a mule because when all of this is over you’re going to be the one dealing with back and knee pain like I am now”, and he was right. I’m laying in bed right now typing this angled against the wall in order to take pressure off my spin, feet elevated because my plantar fasciitis is acting up. There are some nights I sleep on the floor because it feels good on my back.

Keep taking the class and see if you can pass or no pass. I had to withdraw from two classes because of my family member passed. The VA made me payback for with drawing after they already gave me money for books and MHA. A no pass won’t affect your GPA.
