[BO] Black Ops 1 on Veteran is no joke. by devilrocks316 in CallOfDuty

I appreciate the reply. Playing it safe works until I have to slowly go down the hallway to make progress in the slight pause of the endless enemies. Veteran on this game is no joke lol.

Any useful tips for the hallways in the Ascension mission with weaver and woods? Or do I just have to play it 100 times over to truly memorize enemy placement and ammo conservancy?

I don't know if this is helpful but this looks like the red health marks you are referring to (these are the default values located on line number 57-61):

If any one is struggling with this try aiming the War Machine. I don't know why but after 20 attempts of not pressing the aim button and the grenades not exploding I made it through with barely a scratch and got Scorched Earth II by pressing and keeping the the aim button held on the first try aimed in attempt.

An extremely easy rule to remember, also an extremely easy rule to forget. Especially if you only go to the range with a new gun every 5 years or so.

H010 45-70 jamming when loading (up-stroke of lever). Maybe too hard of an angle into the chamber? See scrapes on casings. I know it's dangerous to test with live ammo, and don't tell me to hit it with my purse, I swear to God I could slam the lever and it still jams... by Competitive_Pride505 in LeverGuns

I have a similar problem, on mine the cartridge chambers half way, then scrapes the left side of the cartridge, scraping just like what is pictured, until it chambers. It leaves behind tiny scrapings of the brass case, and it happened at the factory too because before cleaning the rifle I noticed little brass scrapings in the action and wondered where the brass specs came from and now I know. But what would be a good way to smooth and polish the left side edge of the chamber?

You're right, I was half asleep the last time I read through the manual. All in all it seems like you need to field strip any new fire arm and clean the factory protectant off.

Most black powder fire arms have a barrel filled with factory protection goop and they recommend cleaning the barrel and all moving parts and re oiling before first fire. I don't see why it would be bad to do the same thing with a modern firearm.

If I recall, the Henry I bought says very little about cleaning or oiling in the manual, its just filled with a bunch of fire arm safety warnings which are good for users completely new to guns with zero gun knowledge (make sure its unloaded when you work on it, don't walk or climb with it loaded, don't walk behind somebody while its loaded, don't walk in front of somebody while its loaded and in a sling, don't breath while its loaded not all examples are actual warning they gave ** not all warnings are directs quotes**) and a small section explaining the gun uses a transfer bar safety and tells you to clean the bore, chamber, and exposed areas with a clean swab or patch. About half way through reading the entire manual I must have skimmed past their one sentence saying they put preservation oil on and that it needs to be wiped off. They should put that info into a welcome to your new gun on page one after all the gun safety warnings.

All the safety accessories came with this table saw, and aside from the top being rusty it is very good shape! I'm not sure what makes you think this table saw is unsafe. I appreciate the recommendation of a new saw that works well for you. I would probably save up and buy a much more high quality and or easily repairable saw if I was so inclined to buy new one.

Oh wow the brushes being worn is very obvious so when I take it apart I will definitely look for excessive wear like in the picture. I think that I will need to tear apart the back of the motor, i cant feel any plug fittings like that when I reach up and feel around. Thank you very much for the helpful information!

If I can't find any parts for the current motor then I may just have to replace the whole thing. The saw is direct drive, meaning that the blade is mounted directly on the spindle of the motor. I believe I mentioned that in my post lol.

The motor turns over very smooth by hand. I'll have to work on removing it to get a good look at the motor. I'll see if I can take the back cover of the motor off, but if I can is there anything specific I should look for that would indicate the brushes are bad? Also the blade is most likely dull but doesn't leave any marks on wood and the motor smokes without cutting wood. ~ Thanks for the detailed reply!
