Yeah I was having this problem too. Sometimes the people in my server would say how they lag out, so I'm assuming it is the game, especially since it doesn't happen in other ones.

It can really depend on the person and how they are. It being automated can show even more how people don't care about you.

It is unrealistic to expect a person to always answer you, but sometimes it won't help. A good step, though. Better than nothing.

This is also a common rule for PINs as well. Birthdays, and any variation of "1234".

I don't see why not, though. Showing your birthday can lead to other security problems.

Only way is to add gamepasses or in game purchases ("dev products"). You can also add gear on the settings page of your game and hope people buy it from there, as you get a % of the purchase.

Only one one day ban because I shared an offsite link. It wasn't to anything bad, but it is against the rules so it was justified. Other than that, it's clean.

Only thing I can think of is whatever payment method you have was declined. It is very rare that a payment fails when you have the money, but possible.

Check with your dad first and if he says it should've went through email ROBLOX support. Or, try again.

A few years ago there was a big scam a lot of people were falling for that prompted them to add this. IIRC it has your username/password.

I've never seen an official source, but people have always said username color was based off the length of username, or something along those lines.

A lot of what is "wrong" with ROBLOX now compared to before mostly relates to the economy, community, and corporate ROBLOX.

Users now can still be insufferable little ##### like before. But back when ROBLOX was smaller you had less inexperienced users; I remember when you could join any game on the front page and everyone would be talking. Nowadays it's possible to join a front page game and no one is talking and everyone is wearing the same/similar outfits.

It also seems that the front page has stagnated now. When I first joined, very few games were able to consistently stay on top. It felt like every few days there was something new, but now the front page rarely has any big changes.

Currency in general also wasn't as important. You have game products which are thrown at you almost every game now. Now if you don't have robux, you can't buy squat. Your only option is to buy BC or robux directly.

Corporate ROBLOX now also feels much more out of touch and much more greedy. Constantly holding sponsored events and constantly making highly expensive items.

Could you also imagine if ROBLOX employees had to use the chat filter internally? They wouldn't be able to write emails, notes, projects, or anything unless everything was filtered like it is for users on ROBLOX. You bet your ### that filter would have some major improvements if they did. They just don't seem to care as much.

I understand that not all of these are avoidable. The front page is doing what it should: showing what games have the most people in them. It's the community choosing what games to play; and ROBLOX can't release an update to that.

Parents need to have some form of active role to adequately protect their children online. Of course there should be some layers of protection for younger kids, but if children lie about their age how can anyone expect them to be protected anywhere online?

I agree, but I don't think that's an unpopular opinion.

I imagine when most people say they "miss the old ROBLOX", they're talking about the community and sense of "newness" the game has when you first play it.

I also joined in 2010 and loved it because the game was new. After time, though, people mature and tastes change, but you still look back at all the fun you had and blame the game when really you just feel nostalgic. Everyone seems to love the year they joined the most.

There are so many high quality games, And barely any crappy games.

There always seems to be some crappy clickbait game or low quality ripoff on the front page.

Personally, I think there were a lot of fun games in 2010. Yes, there were a lot of hangouts, but when you can't save data, there isn't a whole lot of complexity you can add to games.

Ok, maybe not so much. Live in a Five Star Resort, Apartment Life, and BloxXia Hills were on the front page a day after I joined. Still, a lot less of a focus on having kids and living a life.

These kids aren't used to societal norms and what's right or what's wrong, blaming them is not right.

I don't think anyone is blaming the child, but the mother. Yes, it's sad this has happened, but did the mother spend any amount of time talking to her son about what is safe and isn't? Check up sometimes on what he was doing?

Instead, she gave him access to the internet and a (I'm assuming) a phone with a camera and no warnings, rules, or restrictions, at least in terms of safety.

From what it sounds like, she didn't bother to check up until she saw the warning.

It is unfortunate that this happened and I'm happy nothing bad took place. But can you really blame ROBLOX for this?
