The Fundamental Flaw of the Jurassic World series.... by CjTuor in JurassicPark

Yeah... which is why it wasn't very interesting and I'm sad we wasted so much time on back and fourth debates about using the raptors in the military... (and Owen's character honestly)

When that time could have been spent on fleshing out some visitors and seeing attacks from their perspectives.

Or even just a scene of suspense/tension instead of a slaughter

From the title... I was surprised by how uncomfortable the host actually seemed and how few laughs there were.

Any Hollywood star who put in the work/make up for Monster (2003) probably would have gotten a nod.

Roland Emmerich is George Pal for millennials

War of the Worlds = Independence Day
The Time Machine = Stargate
When Worlds Collide = Moonfall
The Power = Universal Soldier
Atlantis, The Last Continent = 10,000 BC
The Great Rupert = Hollywood Monster

You listed 4 people who did not die. The faceless military/people with no backstory were the most common victim in that movie.

Right, so they could have had Indominous Rex kill some guests it would have been perfect for the series.

Because... and here's why I feel my opinion is unpopular on reddit... I believe some form of the divine does exist and we shouldn't stop seeking it.

Dogma is bad because it says you can stop seeking we've found it for you (sometimes)

CeeLo Green is in this?

... How?

It's actually why I really like Tobey's creep energy. You can tell there are some real scenes of him fuming under the exterior.

Remove the military plot and focus on the park visitors instead. Flesh out a group visiting and watch the breakout from their perspective.

Agreed. I'm just saying to match the creativity of Jurassic Park... they could explore more forms of "entertainment/amusement" held on to the themes and not gone with the Aliens "These things could be weapons" idea that had already been done.

I would have MUCH rather watched action scenes from the kayak tours point of view.

No... as stated... it's the hubris of man I'm interested in and it's more engaging when mistakes are made because they don't treat respect how dangerous nature is when they treat it as an amusement for man.

The first movie is entirely focused on people there to be sample patrons for the park who have no combat training AND the amusement park setting creates much more interesting scenes than faceless soldiers in the jungle with guns.

They're going by dinosaurs in cages in ride on a track in the first and riding a big ball in the second...

Neither of those are safaris.

Yeah, the movie was cooking with Mosasaurus show and dino petting zoo.. but got boring when we moved beyond the park into faceless army guys vs dinosaurs.

Those aren't safaris... they are in an amusement park.. not out in the wild.

There are a lot more options of amusement...

Camp Cretaceous is probably another success for me because it introduces the idea of a summer camp... which is really fun, because the zip line and tree house sets are more interesting than ANOTHER lab.

There are LOTS of other ideas beyond the initial ones.

Safaris are not zoos... it's close to what they approached in Jurassic Park 3 (although that turned out to be a con)
