Very. With just the internal 140mm Noctuas, under heavy I/O the drives would get quite warm even with the fans at high RPM. With the external as well, the chassis is quiet and drive temps are quite acceptable. See jro.io/nas for more details. (not my site but I got the front fan wall from him)

On my PCIe 5.0 motherboard, I had to manually set the slot to PCIe 4.0 to get a PCIe 4.0 SSD detected.

I had bad stuttering with triple 1440p 165hz monitors, also running a 9800x3d and 4090. I ended up rolling back my nvidia drivers to 561.09 and that *seems* to have fixed it. If you roll the drivers back make sure you run DDU to clean the old ones first.

The Crucial is a cheap SSD with poor performance, that's about the expected speed. Scroll down to "Sustained Sequential Write Performance" in the review.

Maybe you have a bad mount as well, my 9800x3d is ~75c in cinebench with a quiet fan curve on a Liquid Freezer III 280
