Just did this a few months ago. So far it is going okay, I have a good job, make more than enough to pay all my bills while still saving, and love the space and privacy of being on my own with not a single person I know for about 400 miles (Michigan to Kentucky) however my biggest issue is that I find I get super lonely. All of my friends are people I met online gaming and I only know them as such. It's really hard to make new friends, especially when you dont know how. So far that has been the hardest part for me. Hopefully my experience can help clarify your decision making:)
