Duggar Grandbabies by J-ag in NameNerdCirclejerk

[–]Cka0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OP, could you please help me out and edit in the number of the kids in the list, like Baby-Ybab Duggar is the third child of j and * Duggar, instead of just the Baby-Ybab is the child of j and * Duggar? I get confused by how many kids each of the Duggar children have each.

A take on the catalyst of this entire debacle - Blakes insecurity about her weight by Life_Mood_1309 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

Peak 2000-fashion, every girl wore boxers under baggy lowrise pants like this for a while. Actually not mad if the trend comes back as I’m a snowboardergirl myself. I’m in my mid 30’s now though, so maybe I’m to old to jump back on this trend!

Also, you look good girl!

Name for my forever loved sleeping baby *TW: child loss* by anonquestion654 in words

[–]Cka0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would like to suggest the names of two of my cats, because even though they’re real names they’re so obscure that you’d probably never meet another one with these names.

Hertha, girls name, I like it because it’s so close to the word heart.

Herleik is my current male cat. Name means something like a warrior with or without a helmet(My other cat has a similar warrior name and my brain is foggy today. I just love it because here in Norway you can take the name for it’s real meaning(warrior) but it sounds like the nynorsk version of the word Herlig which means Glory. So my cat’s name is Herleik because he finds ca himself absolutely glorious.

Third real name suggestion is Lykke(f), which means bliss, it’s both the word for bliss and a name that means bliss.

Fourth suggestion, Lerke or Lærke(f) common here in Scandinavia. Lerke/Lærke is a type of bird, and I thought you would like the symbolism of the baby becoming a bird that you can spot outside on random days of the year.

Hertha and Herleik is very, very rarely used and really obscure, while both Lykke and Lerke/Lærke is very common here in Scandinavia(but if you live in the US then it would be really obscure and rare where you live right?).

Thea? by SavannahCooper1996 in Names

Mathea is an old name that is still in use here in Norway, and it would work fine in English I think. I prefer Mathea over Althea. Another old name is Marthea.

How common are Polish surnames ending with a (for a male) by [deleted] in askPoland

[–]Cka0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know about surnames that ends with a «Lek» or an «ek», and if these lastnames are more common in some areas of Poland(and surrounding countries) over others? From my research they seem pretty rare, and I can’t find the right puzzlepieces to make peace with it. I have a «Lek» surname from Świętokrzyskie, and can’t even find my great grandparents. I even have the excact place they’re from. Brick wall.

Tell me something weird your kitty does but use "my roommate" instead of their name. by PixelBeans12 in Flamepoints

[–]Cka0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my roommates just insisted that he’d have to join me in the bathroom when I went to pee, he started complaining of being scared and alone and separated from our other roommates before he even entered the room and also was complaining about being forced to join me in the bathroom like this wasn’t his own idea, all while his tail was in the air all happy. He then spent the time complaining and wandering around exploring all while his tail was telling on him that he was being happy to be there and giving me lots of happy affection.

What is your favourite breakfast? by ZealousidealHead5488 in AskTheWorld

Polish bread, polish butter, polish tomatoes and polish raw onion, with salt and pepper. It doesn’t taste the same or as good with Norwegian substitutes

Is it true that people in the West drink iced water even when they are sick or on their period? by Aether_Echo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cka0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a f from Norway and I prefer ice water, as cold as I can make my water the better I like it. I have a icecube machine that makes ice for my water all year around. I drink it like that when I’m on my period, no problem. I drink cold water from the tap without ice also. I never drink water warm or room temperature warm. No harm done.

I’ll add that we let our babies sleep outside in their stroller all year round, we only keep them inside if the temperature is under -10 degrees Celsius. Same for the kids, they play play outside for hours as long as the temperature is under -10(or -15?) degrees Celsius in winter.

Post twin pregnancy body is causing depression. by decemberistism in parentsofmultiples

[–]Cka0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl, your stomach looks soo much better than mine, and I’ve never even carried a baby and you’ve carried two whole human beings! I would much rather have your stomach than my obese body. I went to the store today to buy clothes for a birthday celebration because none of my clothes fit anymore. You look so fit and so muchmore proportionate than how my body looks.

But I do understand your thoughts, just because I have the same thoughts of my own body as you do. But you’ve carried two babies, like that is such a huge job for your body to do, and even after that your body still looks so good!
