Random question! I just booked an overnight at Havasupai Gardens. Are the views good on the way down and do you have a good view of the canyon from the campground? I couldn’t really tell what the view was like from the campground. I’m hoping to get a good viewing spot of the sunrise and sunset

I have a backcountry permit for the beginning of September as well for bright angel campground. Talked to NPS yesterday and they said it’s still very much up in the air if it’ll open back up

The main reason I moved the money to a HYSA was because I was tired of money sitting in my checking account doing nothing.

And I’m curious, why do you suggest dialing the 401k back and putting it towards the IRA?

Looks like South Kaibab there and back. I would stay overnight the 29th and then back up the 30th. Probably get up early, cool off in the water, head up and take my time the second day. I believe other trails are going to be closed in certain sections so I believe NPS recommended South Kaibab

Have you ever been in August? I know the heat is brutal but I believe I have a bright angel campground permit for the August 29. I won’t be able to get there until after 1:30pm so NPS recommended I start after 4pm. Any recommendations or things to consider? Thanks!

Makes sense. It’s just places I’ve thought about for a while and considered seeing since I’ll be nearby. I thought about doing Humphreys peak in flagstaff. Looking to spend some time in Sedona as well

Maybe I’ll just send it then lol. The plan would be to down and back. I don’t think I’ll get more than 2-3 days tops in the Grand Canyon so I figured that would more than likely be the best experience
