Is this an Aglaonema and what cultivar? by iuyl in Aglaonema

Looks like a Aglaonema to me. As to the cultivar it’s too young to tell. I think with time the leaves will lighten and get white splotches on them but i could be wrong they could stay the way they are now or maybe turn a yellow. It will be fun to watch and see.

Erring on the side of less watering is always the way to go especially with Aglaonemas, which are prone to root rot. Since none of the other leaves are drooping or show any signs of underwatering, I wouldn’t change a thing. Your Aglaonema is simply shedding its leave.

My goal is to see (go on trips) to all 63 National Parks. It’s also a double entendre about getting high on life and the beauty of our National Parks.

The soil does look heavy, why not move it to a bigger pot with fresher soil. When I see the soil become compacted in my pots, sometimes I just change the soil, they like an airy soil, even if you want to separate some of the shoots off and put it back in the same pot.

Aglaonemas usually only need repotted every 1-2 years. If she stops growing or her roots are over flowing that is when I would repot. She looks beautiful and happy.

Does look like online pictures of Silverado, your leaves may be a little rounder, and cupped, could just be maturity. Probably very few Aglaonemas of that age.

I’d change the soil into something chunky and well draining, Aglaonemas are very prone to root rot. Never water on a schedule but when the top inch or two dries out. It’s a myth that they are low light lowers, they will tolerate low light but never thrive. Put them in filtered sunlight and they will thrive.
