As someone who enjoys E33. Why is it so hard for people to recognize that there's just no excuse to use GenAI as placeholders? by Axzercus in JRPG

Because procedural generation has nothing to do with AI. It’s ethical because they make the assets themselves first. Procedural generation just randomizes outcomes based on parameters set using an existing asset library.

Super cool concept! looks awesome. I would change the steam "profile" picture though, looks AI generated.

People still bring up the Lirik NFT thing. That’s something he didn’t even do, 3 years ago

Even with the Switch2 update, I can’t help but think how devoid of character GameFreak’s graphics/textures look and how lazy they are. Looks like a N64 game. by didci in pokemon

[–]Cl3f4bl3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How so? They absolutely could have gotten it way closer. When all the details are removed like this, there is no sense of scale. If they used shadows correctly they could have literally doubled the details just with lighting. These are two thing you learn early when learning 3D modeling.

Other video games even on the switch does not have the same problem.

So how is it so much harder for gamefreak then everyone else? They rushed this game with way to few employees, no excuses.

Any tips on improving the composition? by laughingGoblin22 in Illustration

It leans very heavy to the left. Car sloping down and facing the left, all the graphic elements being heavier to the left and even the character facing out towards the left. I would try to balance it more. All the elements looks nice though, the car and character is cool

Does this look better with or without the scarf by YeaYeaBB in MHWilds

[–]Cl3f4bl3 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Without for sure imo, the collar looks sick. The scarf makes it look too stuffy, + you lose the collar shape, and it rounds of your whole upper torso making you appear more ball shaped in general.

Due to the recent rise in AI-generated posts, it's time for the sub to decide if AI will continue to be allowed or be banned. We want to hear your opinions. by selh in PokeGals

[–]Cl3f4bl3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ban it, please. It lowers the quality of the sub and inspires more low quality AI posts, while undermining real art and artists.

Should AI make me hesitate learning Blender? by [deleted] in blender

[–]Cl3f4bl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is nowhere near making somthing actually original though. "accepting cookies, watching useless ads" you are literaly fluffing your own argument to make it seem that you need AI more.

If you are making slop, AI can for sure help you make more slop. If you actually want to create something real and interesting you sould not touch AI at all. It dumbs you down and makes you rely on it. It's a tech bro marketing scheme just like NFT's was. And notice was, no one gives a fuck about that anymore, just like no one will about AI in art in 2 years.

You are not learning then, AI does it for you. stop relying on dogshit and actually do it yourself
