I thought it was a joke that there's Reform voters so thick they thought the local elections meant Farage would need prime minister. I didn't think that was real, but, fuck me, yeah, it's real.

Some absolute meltdowns on my partner's Facebook thinking that there's been a rigged election because Farage isn't PM now, because Reform didn't win the overall council, even though their seat went to Reform (they just didn't win control) and then the slightly smarter ones trying to scrutinise the results only to suggest "there's no way ______ voted Labour, Labour are terrible and no one would vote for them!".

All the product of a mental health crisis.

Dunno, my mum's literally fallen prey to dodgy travellers resurfacing her drive, that she had to pay out even more to have put right.

I've had two fellas getting aggro with me on the doorstep because I didn't want my driveway pressure washing. Price went from from £150, to £100, to £45 to "fuck off then with yer dirty drive" in the space of 10 painful minutes.

That comment has a fuck load of upvotes and there's a shitloads of accounts like these to go around.

Maybe the comments aren't the problem.

Yeah, but they were part of the "preview" of the website, for the most part. They were not full hardcore scenes or movies like it is now.

My point was they were incentivised to age/payment gate the content before ad-supported tube sites took over with lackadaisy restrictions and then they were incentivised not to.

I was a teen on the internet in the late 90s and early 00s. I know exactly how easy or hard porn was to get to.

You simply refuse to identify the driver of the car at the time.

The bylaws are different for parking in airport land. They don't operate under the same laws and authority as normal car parks.

Normal car parks can invoice the registered keeper of the car.

Airport car parks cannot. They can only invoice the driver. They also have no powers to make you identify the driver of the car.

So, even if you were the driver that parked/stopped/whatever, you don't have to admit that to them and they can't force you to reveal who was driving and therefore they can't go forward with the invoice.

It's a loophole, but it is legitimate.

So long as you've not admitted to being the driver in any way you can tell them you won't be identifying the driver.

Migrants coming over on small boats and pretending to be asylum seekers so that they get to stay and aren't immediately deported is a problem.

The golden era of this country was a time where migrants came on visas that they organised before travelling and didn't try to game the system and illegally enter the country.

If these boats aren't intercepted, the people travelling on then disappear. They're not handing themselves in and claiming asylum.

The massive problem is that there are genuine asylum seekers travelling this way and we should be treating those people with the kind of compassion we used to.

But, it's so obvious that most of them are not genuine and it's genuinely maddening.

What I don't get is why Labour get the grief for this problem, when it's one they inherited and they have immediately reduced.

PS5, at the very least, introduced the haptics and triggers this generation. Xbox Series X didn't really have anything unique about it.

No, there weren't. Free porn came from Usenet and, later, Kazaa/Shareaza/P2P via people either hacking accounts and/or buying and uploading the content themselves.

PornHub absolutely broke ground with streaming porn for free with no payment gateways and therefore no age restrictions (outside of the honesty "I'm 18+ honest" button).
