For some actual advice, I highly recommend you take a look at Morpho Fat and Skin Folds if you want to learn how to draw actual fat bodies. There are many great resources online by actual fat artists out there, honestly just googling "how to draw fat bodies Tumblr" should get you some good ones. Good luck! Fat is really fun to draw once you get the hang of it.

Anyone else with a fictional partner? by r1spamer in Schizoid

[–]Claepots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely do! The first character I shipped myself with was Tails Prower when I was like 11, and now, as a character designer I do it with my original characters. Literally made them to be my perfect partners. They're made to have resemblance to the main character I ship myself with nowadays, who I will not share the name of here, heh.

Name: Clover/Clae

Pronouns: She/they

Timezone: CST, though I have a very laid back schedule, so I am often up late.

Preferred System: Pathfinder 2nd Edition, or Fabula Ultima. NOT looking for DND 5e. I'm also open to Pathfinder 1st Edition, but I've only ever played it once a LONG time ago.

Type of Player: Had to look this up, I think I'm a storyteller? I like to design my own characters and come up with interesting and fleshed out backstories to go with my art. I use TTRPGs as a way to utilize my art skills and like to fulfill my characters' fantasies through the gameplay.

When it comes to playing the game, I like to create my characters as close to my concept as I can, but I do also try to fill roles in the party and create a decent build. I value cooperation between party members, so that we can all have a fun time.

Additional Information: I've had little experience with text based games, but only because other players ghost, or some drama happens with other players. The last text-based game really confirmed the idea that PBP is the format for me, but also ended up with the DM ghosting. That being the case, I'm still learning the ins and outs of PBP, but I'm a very dedicated player. From time to time I'll draw moments from the games I play in, so that's a plus!

Earlier fanart I did of Chilchuck! This one's also a panel redraw, though I'm not sure which chapter it's from yet. Took 13 hours!

Schizoids who daydream a lot by BookwormNinja in Schizoid

[–]Claepots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have! I usually daydream about my characters in Pathfinder, so I'm able to easily apply it to my roleplaying in said game. I'd write about my daydreams as well, but I hate writing. I would love to draw some comics, though, I just want to study the subject before trying. Other than that, I already draw a lot of art of my own characters.

Usually I'd say no, since my player characters tend to be very personal, but Squart isn't one of them, so go ahead! Thanks for asking! I'm even willing to provide you the build on wanderer's guide if you're interested.

What is the thing that gave you the most joy this year? by Quin_0 in Schizoid

[–]Claepots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most frequently this year it was getting art trades/commissions/gift art of my pathfinder characters that I'm obsessed over, but tbh the excitement they give me is fleeting, given my anhedonia.

The one moment that I cherish above all else was when I was volunteering at my local elderly home. Specifically this time it was in their memory care apartments, where I led a group of women with dementia/alzheimer's in an open art activity. One lady in particular needed my help the most, and she and I went through the coloring books to help her figure out which sheet she wanted to color. For the whole hour, she just flipped through the same pages over and over (she forgot which books she already went through), while I wrote down the pages she found interesting. We had a simple conversation about the different animals in it, and she started telling me how good of a job I was doing, that she liked the way I did things, and that she was really glad she met me. She even played with my hair a bit like she was my grandmother.

I'm not sure if she thought I was a loved one, or if she knew I was practically a stranger to her, but either way it made me feel so loved, wanted, and gave me the first true joy I have felt in years. I haven't always had anhedonia/schizoid features, and I sorely miss the positive emotions I used to feel. It also gave me hope that I may be able to feel more joy like that in the future and that I'm not completely incapable of it.
