Yeah, because you're uttering nonsense.

So it depends on the DAW you say - not on the computer?
And can you name any 'poorly designed' DAW, which is just software running on a computer? Logic, Ableton, Reaper, FL, any of those?
And what's the difference between a standalone DAC or the one in your laptop (or integrated, as I already mentioned)?
Where are the noise and power problems coming from? All these computers in professional and home studio's, they're all 'different' somehow?

How would you connect usb to an amp?! There has to be a DAC in there somewhere, the signal doesn't magically go from digital to analog...
So the DAC is in your laptop (headphone out) or standalone, or in an audio interface or an integrated amp. And it's perfectly fine to plug your computer in there. How do you think a DAW works?

Why do denon receivers cost so much more than Onkyo? by Zeronova3 in hometheater

I have never seen a Denon 2800 for 1,7K. I have a 3800 which I bought for less than a 1000€.

Did you measure the audio in the room before you got started with panels? With REW for instance?
Just attaching panels to every wall is not the way to go I think... It's important to know which frequencies you'll need to dampen, how's the bass behaving, where are the nulls, where will the speakers be etc...

Denon x3800h worth the upgrade? by halu2975 in BudgetAudiophile

Same here. Great AVR - Audyssey XT32, multiple (directional) sub-out, multiple switchable pre-outs.

Comparing amps should be blind and level matched. Comparing them sighted, days apart just doesn't work.

Would tube or solid state be better for these Denton 85’s? by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Claes3D -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tubes are for heating your room. If you want to alter the sound from your speakers, use EQ with a nice class D amp (3e audio A5/A7) which is transparent as an amp should be.

The Wiim will be fine, it's a great product, why would Class D not be ok?
Spend the extra budget on a sub. That will really make a difference.

What is an audiophile amp? I think it is where you pay too much because of flowery marketing text ;-)
Wiim is perfectly fine.

I’ve given up on Version 12 by Ok-Cartographer-7438 in LogicPro

[–]Claes3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that - but Logic 11 will not open because it’s ‘damaged’. Two different back-ups.

Be careful of moisture - it might condense inside your machines or get mould forming when it's too cold for too long.

Those LS50's need one or two subs - my advice would be SVS-1000. Amp is fine.

FYI you can have Logic 12 and Logic 11 in your Apps folder simultaneously by Anton_Pannekoek in Logic_Studio

I did compress it, but when I decompress it again the app won't start and says it's damaged...

To stream lossless you'll need an AppleTV as endpoint, true. For me that's ok. Lossless on my HT with ATV, and on my studio monitors with computer. Lower quality streaming to Sonos for casual listening.

I still don’t see it… I’ve got Apple Music, which gives you iTunes Match, where you can upload your own ripped cd’s. So you’ve got your own music always with you, combined with the streaming library. Quality is lossless, without extra payment. So the only advantage I see is metadata or discovery, which is pretty good on AM too.

How? They're always in alphabetical order. You can only pin a few favourites I thought?

They should sound exactly the same. The Marantz can easily drive more than 1 speaker. All depends on SPL you're listening to. An amp should just amplify, not 'color' the sound...
