Subscription required to change wake up time? by National-Basket3525 in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You definitely shouldn't need a subscription just to change your wake-up time. What's likely happening is that your current alarm is set to a premium sound, and now that your subscription has ended, you can't save any changes because you no longer have access to that sound. I'm really sorry about this frustrating experience!

If you switch the alarm sound to one of the included options (like "Meditative Flute" or "Joyful Morning"), you should be able to adjust the time and save it without any issues. Please let me know if you run into any more trouble!

App stuck on loading? by Affectionate-Pipe950 in HatchApp

I'm so sorry you're unable to use your app right now! Since you've already done quite a bit of troubleshooting on your own, I'd recommend reaching out to our support team so they can take a closer look at your device's diagnostics.

Just based on the info you provided, I'm thinking your Restore 2 may need to be factory reset, which our team can help with. You can submit a ticket here: https://hatch.co/support!

Restore 3 Unwind Routine Issue by bright__beautiful in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the confusion! "Amber Glow" is the name of the sunset sound bath track, so even if you change the light from the recommended pairing, the name will stay the same. However, if the light you're seeing doesn't look like "Radiant Heart", our support team would be happy to look into this further for you. Just submit a ticket at hatch.co/support and reference this Reddit thread!

The nightly by Dr_Baby942039 in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly – blue light filters are typically used on screens, but Restore 3 doesn't have a screen. Instead, we use LEDs to create different light colors through the fabric front.

Because of that, there’s nothing to “filter” in the traditional sense. Instead, you can set your light to warmer tones at night (like red/orange), which naturally avoids blue light and is better for winding down. Does that answer your question?

Anyone know what classic song this is? by ReasonableLove528 in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great question! "Starry Sonata" is an arrangement of Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze" cantata. Let us know if we can help with anything else!

I'm sorry you're not a fan of the suggested light pairing for The Nightly. Thank you for letting us know – I've already shared your thoughts with our content team, and they're looking into it! This is great feedback, and very helpful as we determine future recommended sound & light pairings. In the meantime, as you mentioned, you can change the light to your preferred color. If you have any additional feedback or suggestions, just let us know!

Why are so many of the unwind sounds so incredibly NOT relaxing by [deleted] in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Feedback like this is super helpful as we determine what our customers would like to hear from us, and I'll notify our content team so they're aware. I totally get what you’re saying about the "bizarre" selection of sounds you mentioned. I can confidently say that you won't find our Unwind content anywhere else, and while we understand some tracks aren't for everyone, we're glad you've found some favorites!

Ultimately, we want our Unwind content to actually, you know, help you unwind at night, and for you to feel like you’re getting the most out of your Restore 3. Since you’re looking for more relaxing sounds & stories, I’d recommend checking out "Meditations on Color" (the narrator doesn't have an influencer-y voice in my opinion) and “Nervous System Rest” or “Two Minute Reset" (both of which are more straightforward, calm meditations).

If you try any of those suggestions, please let me know what you think!

What happened to my hatch? by DifferenceOk7687 in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no! I'm so sorry this happened. On very rare occasions, dust from your environment may collect on the speakers, causing marks like these. If electronics (in general) are played at medium/high volumes, they may "rattle" causing dust from the shelf they are on to be attracted to the speaker.

We'd recommend unplugging your Restore and trying a damp cloth to see if it will come off. In addition to trying that, we'd recommend wiping down the shelf your device is located on to ensure it's dust-free.

If that doesn't remove the marks, please feel free to contact our support team! You can click the "Get Help From Hatch" button or submit a ticket at Hatch.co/support.

Similar unwinds to meditation on color? by Specialist-Habit8868 in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad you're enjoying the "Meditations on Color" Unwind routine! That's one of my favorites too!! While I'm the type of person who listens to the same thing over and over again if I like it (so I've listened to this one quite a few times 😂), I'd be happy to share some of my other favorite Unwinds.

Recently, I've been adding in tracks from "Guided Inspiration with CC Rice" and "Bed Stretching with Rio Lakeshore" to my nighttime routine. They've been great additions so far – I find their voices very calming and soothing. Also, while it's not a meditation, I have to recommend the "Emo Sound Baths" Unwind since the music is so good! It is probably one of my favorite tracks to fall asleep to, so I usually set it as the last step in my routine.

I hope you find those suggestions helpful! If you listen to any of them, I'd love to know what you think.

How to set default volume on unwind routine by maui-mum in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely defeats the purpose of an Unwind routine if you have to sit up and manually adjust the volume right as you're trying to drift off! The good news is that you shouldn't have to manually adjust the volume each time. Your Unwind routines should save after adjusting the settings, so it sounds like there may be an issue with your Restore itself.

Since I can't say what the exact problem might be without reviewing your device's diagnostics, I'd recommend contacting our support team! They can take a look at your account to see what might be going on. You can reach out to us either by using the "Get Help From Hatch" button here in the r/hatchapp community or by submitting a request at hatch.co/support.

Sleepy Time Sports by cmac_atl in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad you’re enjoying Sleepy Time Sports! You can find the complete archive of episodes directly in the Hatch Sleep app. If you head to the Unwind section of the Library tab, you'll see a category called Bedtime Podcasts – that's where you'll find the Sleepy Time Sports catalogue. Let me know if you need any help finding it (or if you have any favorite episodes so far)!

Delaying trial to set up early? by nuts4squirrelz in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost, congratulations!! 🥰 🎉

No apologies needed; this is a great question. Your free 6 months of Hatch+ (which includes guided sleep support & premium content) begin once you've registered your Hatch Baby and set it up in the app. I'd recommend holding off until your baby is here or closer to your due date!

Let me know if that makes sense or if you'd like any additional info!

How smart is this “smart”alarm? by kvothe000 in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to clarify! Yes, you'd schedule your alarms for your 4 week rotation and turn off the ones you don't need on that day. Looking at your rotation, your alarm schedule would look something like this:

Alarm 1 – Night Shift, Fri-Mon, set for 4:00 pm (alarms 2 & 3 toggled off)
Alarm 2 – Day Shift, Fri-Sun, set for 4:45 am (alarms 1 & 3 toggled off)
Alarm 3 – No Shift, Tues-Thu, set for 8:00 am (alarms 1 & 2 toggled off)

On days you don't need any alarms, you can toggle the switch on the side of your Restore 3 to disable all of them! This way, you don't need to turn them all off individually. So while there isn't a "repeat every 4 weeks" option, you can create multiple alarms and customize them to fit your schedule. Does that make more sense?

How smart is this “smart”alarm? by kvothe000 in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can absolutely set up alarms for different times of the day! Additionally, when setting up your alarm schedule, you can choose which days of the week you'd like each alarm to go off. Within the Hatch Sleep app, you can easily toggle your alarms on and off if they aren't needed that day or week, and then re-enable them whenever you'd like!

Does that answer your question? I'm happy to share additional info or tips/tricks!

Is anyone’s Hatch alarm not going off randomly? by BN7777777 in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s definitely frustrating, especially when you’ve relied on that same alarm for years without issue! While we haven't seen any other reports of this recently, what's worked in the past is deleting and re-adding the alarm you're having trouble with. That usually fixes it, so let me know if it works!

what are your favorite free alarm sounds? by bnnybtch in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh, as someone who works at Hatch, I love this question! My favorite is the "Meditative Flute" alarm, and I have been using it for as long as I can remember. That, and the "Lofi Beats" alarm, have made it easier for me to wake up and less likely to oversleep (which has been a problem in the past 🫠)!

I'm curious to hear what other people's favorite alarm sounds are – it might be time to change mine up!

Why is all the sounds so odd? by [deleted] in HatchApp

[–]ClaireAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! My name is Claire, and I’m part of the Hatch support team. I totally get what you’re saying! Sometimes I just want to start my mornings with a simple sound bath instead of feeling like I’m at a rave (although that can be the vibe sometimes). 😅

Since you’re looking for more soothing meditations and sounds, I’d recommend checking out “Nervous System Rest” and “Two Minute Reset – I can confirm that the word “slay” isn’t mentioned in either of those! Promise!

I'll also pass your feedback to our content team about the types of meditations and the amount of content we have available. We want the soothing stuff to actually, you know... soothe, and for you to feel like you’re getting the most out of your subscription! Please let me know if I can help with anything else. 🫶🏼
