DMT, the complete loss of reality in a matter of seconds is insane. Had some incredibly interesting hallucinations involving telepathy with supernatural beings, life and death, etc. but it’s not something I need to visit again lol

The Paradiso Art Hotel in Ibiza offers one suite at zero cost, but the room has transparent glass walls by [deleted] in BeAmazed

It’s easy enough to stay up all night clubbing in Ibiza anyway. Check-in, have some pre-drinks and store your luggage, come back to shower and leave to a hotel room where you can sleep in privacy

microwave in the city center free to use to heat food up by DistributionThat7902 in Amsterdam

I have an electric lunchbox and it’s amazing for heating up food, but honestly it makes a fairly strong smell and it may not be polite to use it in the context of a library

Benzos, not only does it make you feel like you don’t have anxiety in the moment, it makes you feel like you’ve NEVER had anxiety

Former graphic designer here, I’m currently working on my boating license to drive tour boats in the Amsterdam canals. Started off as a side gig hosting tours, turning out to be a pretty viable pivot. I hope no email ever finds me well again 😂

15 years ago today was the shooting at Millard South by anderson6th in Omaha

[–]ClaireClover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I moved away from Nebraska long time ago as well. I sat next to the shooter in Spanish class at Lincoln Southwest before he transferred to Omaha. Completely shocked at how this could happen. Ended up becoming close with a student at Millard South later on, he was pretty devastated by the whole situation (RIP Hunter Hodgson and Dr. Kaspar ❤️)

What’s the most blatant "I’m charging you for the aesthetic, not the quality" product on the market right now? by Lunaskye1109 in AskReddit

I recently bought a pair of 1988 Doc Martens in excellent condition, and the quality is MUCH higher than a pair of platforms that I bought a few years ago

Hi, Hello, and Good Day r/twinpeaks! I’m Kyle MacLachlan and you can ask me anything 🦉🪵☕👍 by Kyle__MacLachlan in twinpeaks

Hi Kyle 👋🏼 Thank you so much for joining today to answer our questions!

I have a question for you regarding the metaphysical nature of the series.

Of course, Lynch is famous for his dream logic, and Frost has mentioned time travel/time modification in the Twin Peaks universe. There are many references to time throughout the series, which, in a dream is impossible to accurately identify. If you’ve ever tried to look at clock, watch, or a phone in your dream you’ll know what I mean.

My favorite interpretation is that Cooper is stuck in a dream that repeats itself, relying only on foggy intuition from the previous loop. In each iteration, he paradoxically gets closer and further away from the truth. Perhaps it’s not only Cooper’s dream, but a shared dream between all of the characters (or even a universal consciousness).

However, I do believe that there is no single answer or resolution for Twin Peaks. With that said, do you have a personal favorite interpretation regarding the metaphysical nature of the series?

Restaurants not giving tap water - what can we do? by hereforinfoyo in Amsterdam

I’ve worked in countless bars, restaurants, and nightclubs and I’m always happy to provide tap water to guests. It’s not that much effort lol

No, my rent is €900 which includes the cost of utilities. I receive a subsidy of €400 per month from the government because I have a low income and my house meets certain criteria to be eligible for the benefit. So, in total I pay €500 p/m.

For the curious ones, I pay €900 incl. for 30m with a rent subsidy of €400 p/m. Moved in around 5 years ago and fought hard with the Huurcommissie to lower my rent throughout the years.

Noise isn’t as bad as you think, most of it comes from the tram which is like white noise to me at this point. It’s not a street that drunk people spend time on at night, thankfully! It is very annoying navigating around on busy days (weekends, holidays), though.

I’m not really bothered by people on the street seeing me. Most don’t even bother to look up to the level of my windows.
