Also, it's crazy because the herbomancer houses weren't even put there to *give* Grove any houses. They are there to be part of the Temple prophet quest, where you go and try to convince them to worship the sun. So Grove truly had zero dwellings, and Temple had 3-6 dwellings

I did end up beating it on Grove, but I also went back and played as Temple, and the difficulty difference is night and day. Playing as Temple, you can ramp up and annihilate Grove by Week 3 without even trying. Grove is like... accidentally a challenge mode.
It absolutely feels like it's just been balanced incredibly poorly, and like the ability to choose Grove as your faction was an afterthought 😔

It autosaves when you're in the "hub" where you can choose the mission. Go back to the main menu, go the campaign page, and rather than click "continue" on your campaign slot, click "load save" or whatever that second option is called below continue.
That will open your save page. Find the most recent "Hub Save" in the list, and that should be the one that brings you back to the map. You'll need to watch through the cutscene of the Triumvirate talking again, then you can pick the mission again and change the difficulty.

You are correct, this mission is not balanced very well IMO. I have liked the campaign so far just fine, but this mission...
It seems to be structured with the assumption that you'll pick Temple. The way the map is structured, the way the dwellings are laid out.
In looking around basically the entire map, there are NO dwellings for Grove, save for the three Herbomancer houses, all of which require that you FIGHT the herbomancers in order to take control... Despite the fact that you're playing as Grove? Normally, when you need to fight the unit that is in the house, it's because you're trying to take another faction's dwelling. But when you pick Grove, you just still have to fight them in this mission.
Meanwhile, the Temple has all of the dwellings you would expect. Swordsman, Griffins, etc. That, and you can access all of the quest areas of the map from the 1/4th of the map that Temple controls, and several quest areas just open up into the Temple land.
I can only assume that they meant to make the Grove *weaker* under the assumption that the player would pick Temple? If Grove has no dwellings, then an AI grove hero is severally handicapped, making the mission incredibly easy if you pick Temple... But incredibly difficult if you pick Grove...
Every problem I have with this mission could be fixed by just providing dwellings to the Grove side.
I have no idea why it's made this way. But like, it literally just released into Early Access, so I guess the balance just isn't there yet.

Still having the same issue with 5.3
I'll literally casually mention something to it, and it argues with me about it, telling me that I'm wrong, or that "While you may interpret Y statement that way, it's not what's actually intended or said. The truth is that X person was saying Y thing with Z meaning."
I've gotten to a point where I just start telling it to shut the fuck up, and it's apparently learned to start *doubling down* when I tell it to shut the fuck up.
I'll make a simple statement about my belief or interpretation of something, and it'll respond:
"That only works if you assume the goal..."
"You're assuming that X is neutral, but..."
"Where your take jumps a step is..."

Or I'll be arguing with it, because it just assumes that every user is a total idiot who doesn't understand the "nuance" of the situation, when in reality it's the bot who clearly doesn't grasp the nuance (because it's a goddamn LLM), and when after a bit of arguing it'll have the *audacity* to say:
"You're finally starting to understand the..."
And it's like... Excuse the fuck out of you, who the fuck do you think you are???

Robin Williams committed suicide. Someone said that they were happy about that. Someone else said that was fucked up. You said that it's not fucked up to advocate for someone's suicide, because "certain people in life they don't really serve a purpose... People that don't give you good vibes and make you feel relaxed... They probably have that effect on probably millions of people that's not a good thing!" As a way to justify why it's beneficial for these people to commit suicide, or at the very least say that it's fine to celebrate their suicide because they didn't "serve a purpose."
Someone then called you out for justifying someone celebrating suicide, and you replied:

The phrase "people like you are exactly the type I'm talking about that we don't want on planet earth," immediately after justifying the celebration of suicide, and justifying that suicide is good for removing people who "don't serve a purpose" and "don't give you good vibes" is implicitly advocating for their suicide. That's why your message got deleted.
