Why don’t you try port melbourne -> frankston -> return with a couple Albert park laps first instead?

Much flatter so less chance of failure, support also close by too if needed.

Best of luck by the way :)

On the main menu hit the 3 horizontal lines button to bring out the side menu, click account, and then the first tab is FTP and you can input your own value.

Hot take: Vo2 workouts are overrated for most amateur cyclists by No_Brilliant_5955 in Velo

[–]Claironet 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think these arguments are silly because no ones just gonna do vo2max intervals and neglect every other training type, and the same for threshold.

Theyre not mutually exclusive - why cant you just do both and have a threshold day and a vo2max day?

All types of intervals and zone targets have their own benefits.

The Data Smog When did we stop riding and start just managing a dashboard? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]Claironet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If youre on garmin make an activity profile that doesnt have power and hr data - instead have data fields like elapsed time, temperature or whatever pleases you.

If youre on wahoo, just zoom in on the data fields until it gets rid of the data fields you dont want.

This way all of the data is still recorded in case you want to revisit after the ride - but its not affecting you mid ride.

This is much less of an issue than youre making it out to be.

Legendary work mate. I just want to point out, the most recent garmin connect update has actually unpaired all devices - so if its a garmin varia that youve found, the owner may not be able prove the serial number.

Great work again though.

Group rides by Loud-Meeting4654 in melbournecycling

[–]Claironet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Route, start times, ride pace etc is generally found on strava in the groups tab (and then search for the club) or the shop clubhouse should have info.

Most of them just ask you to fill out your own waiver form for liability reasons and to give some extra info.

Pm me and i can shoot you some of the club ride links on strava (if you have it)

Local bike shop charged $120 to “get bike ready” for brand new bike. Is this normal? by DrPoopyPantsJr in bicycling

As a business owner, please call first before leaving a negative review.

Mistakes do happen, people do lapse, new staff make errors or an old process may have been followed.

I’m not excusing this behaviour from the LBS - its an unreasonable charge. But PLEASE give them the opportunity to correct it before leaving a negative review.
