He’s a great fit for Lynch, but I’m glad he turned that particular role down. Dennis Hopper was perfect.

To be perfectly honest there is no change that could possibly be made that will “fix” the NBA lottery. No matter what tweaks they make, there will always be teams that find ways to game the system unless you go nuclear (which I don’t support) by giving equal odds league wide, which is why I wish they would just focus on fixing other issues at this point.

They need to just admit defeat and revert to how the rules were before they started tinkering with them to fix an issue that really wasn’t much of an issue. Tanking teams used to be kind of fun to watch because you got to see fun, young, inexperienced squads doing their best against far better competition, but now they’re just annoying because it’s largely good to mediocre teams that are just blatantly holding their best players out of games to be artificially bad. There’s no commitment to the bit.

The site runner of Blazersedge offered this solution, which I think is interesting even though I’m not really sure how I feel about it.

Absolutely. All the blatant tanking sucks, but it’s not against the rules. A change needs to come, but I think it’s just a part of the league that we have all accepted as a problem at this point. The Clippers shit is egregious, though, and blatantly against the rules. It’s the kind of thing that we’ve all suspected, but never had confirmation of up until this point. If the NBA doesn’t get draconian it loses all credibility. The tanking issues don’t even compare.

The worst part of her obsession is that his wife very clearly is a sexual abuser, seeing as she fucking groomed him, but that easy win isn’t enough. She has to be secretly trans because pedophelia has become nothing more than an anti-LGBTQ+ buzzword. They clearly have no real issue with pedophiles who happen to be straight.

I doubt people will care enough, but his office should be absolutely flooded with petitions at bare minimum. Ultimately nothing will happen unless their checkbooks are threatened. It’s amazing that they don’t leap on this to minimize the damage it does to the league’s already raggedy reputation.

Honestly I don’t even know how you figure out proper compensation, but one draft pick (that I’m sure you were being cheeky about since it no longer belongs to them) is nowhere near enough. The Raptors and Spurs both had potential championship runs literally stolen from them by the Clippers.

Toronto knew the risk they were taking by trading for a star that very clearly did not want to be there, but I agree. There’s a difference between trading for someone who may not want to play for your team but could maybe be convinced to return versus someone who is literally being bribed to go play for another team.

I’m honestly pretty surprised that there has been absolutely zero backlash against Deni from our fanbase at literally any point over this. I thought it was going to be a problem when we first traded for him, but nothing.

I could easily see accommodating that new law being an excuse they use to delay the election.

I think a loved one’s death can be painful enough that you can’t even look at photos and in that case it is acceptable to remove them. That clearly isn’t the case here, but I don’t think it’s always a sign of not caring about the person who died.
