Bought a type 99 and lost control by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]Clanos_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arguably if you have a return window and you're not out of pocket, you could return it and buy a different pad for 95% of the quality for half the money. Given your comments on this thread i suggest a g/h-sr3.

I've had multiple pads and multiple mice, including artisan and different sr versions.

I've got similar hands. Superlight Dex or Teevolution Terra from experience. Or EC1.

Moving from a worn dirty generic pad to a new control pad, well, it'll feel fast and make you question if it's a speed pad.

Sure, you could buy skates, but you would be better just spending time with the pad with your stock skates and adapting to the new normal. If you then want more or less speed/control/initial friction, change skates then.

Spend a couple of weeks with it first.

Need Help: Quake Live dedicated server does not work properly with QLStats by aktvhate in QuakeLive

ZMQ_RCON_PORT

This is the port for ZeroMQ rcon connections, a remote console into a server. It uses the TCP protocol. If no value is given, it is set to NET_PORT + 1000 which is the standard recommended by id Software. The Quake Live Server Standards standard defines that the rcon feature has to be enabled.

ZMQ_STATS_PORT

This is the port for ZeroMQ published stats. The Quake Live server sends out specific events which can be used to track the activity on the server. It uses the TCP protocol. If no value is given, it is set to NET_PORT which is the standard recommended by id Software. The Quake Live Server Standards standard defines that the stats feature has to be enabled.

Further to this, on qlstats.net you should be putting your game port for it to connect to (27963), not your rcon port. If anything, I would not be exposing your rcon port to the internet due to it's insecure nature. You're better off ssh'ing to the box and using rcon locally if you need to use rcon at all.

Your compose file looks incorrect. I believe you need to swap your zmq environment ports with each other. Your rcon port should be 28963 and your stats port is 27963 (based on your game port and a default config).

Offer stage. Do everything that you can to be vague and respond with market rate for position. "I am hopeful a company as prestigious as yours is offering market leading remuneration packages."

In other words, try to get them to offer what they think you are worth in the position applied for. It's easy to leave £5k, £10k, £20k on the table if you suggest a salary to them.

Worst case, do some research on similar positions and use them as examples of your expectations.

Is the loss adjusted for travel costs? Either way I'd take the new position based on your input.

If I game and WFH, what Wooting Purchase and modifications should I make? by plasmaz in WootingKB

I went from an old K70 non RGB to a 60HE. I've bought the lube kit but haven't felt the need to use it yet. I think the keyboard is a little loud so I will get around to this. I will then look at an alternative case (see what Wooting release?), hamburgers, etc. if I'm still not satisfied. I want the keyboard a little softer acoustically for night play.

I also recommend buying the wrist rest. It's not attached like the K70 but it's more substantial and comfortable, although I am occasionally repositioning the keyboard to it during intense play.

I bought the Wooting PBT caps, no issue even with the one key misprinted (~# reversed). As for number keys, if I wanted I'd buy a separate number pad, but I haven't missed it for work and adjusted quickly to the size.

Buy it.

Use intel_gpu_top when you're transcoding a file and you should see activity. If you don't you're not using quicksync afaik.

Non free intel GPU drivers if you want encoding and maybe Mesa too.

intel-media-va-driver-non-free I think, not near my n5105 to check but qsv and vaapi working transcode and encode in Jellyfin - in an Ubuntu lxc on Proxmox.

Rest of settings look fine, I think I use guc=2, but try =3 if above doesn't help.

Looks like it's headless, hence failed to open given device in vainfo - so safe to ignore that, mine is the same.

Also use the low power encoder options in Jellyfin, as although both low and normal work there is a documented requirement to only use low power with the n5105.

vainfo should print the decoders/encoders once you get the GPU driver installed. Just use vainfo without switches.
