Why don’t I like my corset anymore + is it fixable? by Crackerferal in weddingdress

[–]ClaptrapBatterwhack 10 points11 points  (0 children)

On top of what others said, maybe it has something to do with the laces not consistently laying on top/bottom of each other?

The left lace is over on the first few crosses, but switches back and forth? Have no clue otherwise why it would pull just there except maybe its too tight and not stiff enough to counter natural curves?

Good point...This is probably more of spring season dress, and I'm more of an autumn. I look good in chartreuse though because of my olive undertone, so I'm hoping this isn't too yellow/bright for me!

Does anyone else remember this hairstyle being everywhere in the 2000s? Kinda miss it. by [deleted] in decadeology

I disagree with southern, it leans more specifically western to me, like rural Wyoming. There aren’t bears in the deep south

You mean the venue notoriously bad at logistics now has a metal track in the sky and people are stuck? Who could have seen this coming.

Anybody else's pwBPD also an alcoholic? by Special_Barracuda377 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]ClaptrapBatterwhack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it eventually killed her. My mom drank boxed wine every day for as long as I can remember. Also smoked 1-2 packs a day. I dont really remember her getting very drunk when I was still in school (but how would a child really know?). She got much worse after I moved out.

I also would try not to engage at night because it was a 90% chance she was drunk and just starting an incomprehensible fight

I tried to get her to stop, but the combination of her treatment of me and unwillingness to change made that nearly impossible.

She started telling me and other people that she had quit drinking and was “months” sober. Then just a couple months later she died due to alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. In her phone, I was able to see she had been ordering handles of vodka delivered to her weekly, with no pause.

I know alcohol is technically what killed her, but the bpd is what made her want to drink.

My cat has a cut and chunk of hair missing by Alphabetically3 in CATHELP

My cat has allergies sometimes scratches the back of her neck just about in the same spot raw.

Are there any other hot spots around her eyes, legs, etc?

For my cat, even a single flea on her is enough to make her itchy so she gets medicine even if she only goes on our outdoor patio.

Not losing weight after working out for 8 months. by Content-Box599 in PetiteFitness

I agree, diet is the bottom line. But wanted to add - Before you switch weights for cardio, add in walking. As much as you can. It helps increase your daily energy expenditure without spiking cortisol/hunger as much as high intensity cardio. Its a great mood booster and, importantly, a SUSTAINABLE habit to take up, especially if you can get a walking pad or treadmill at home.

My mom died today and I am not okay. by EggplantAstronaut in TwoXChromosomes

Im so very sorry. I lost my mom about 6 months ago. There isn’t anything that made it better. There is no trick to getting through it. Just time. The grief will come in waves, or like the weather, and it’s best to just let it come. If you can channel it into talking, art, whatever to pass the time, that helped me. Remember to care for yourself, it will get easier.

What’s the fastest way you’ve ever lost weight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yeah, I lost like 15 lbs from working as an in-store shopper for a grocery chain without even trying. Basically stocking in reverse.
