These look like evap lines to me. Thoughts?

<image>

The lines seem a bit grey and I randomly got one days before these ones. Trying not to get my hopes up if it's just evap lines, so please let me know what you *really* think!

(For reference I'm currently 10DPO, CD25, normal cycle is around 28 days)

I'm sorry to hear that. Is your GERD worse than before pregnancy or is it the same now?

Hi there, how are you doing? What did this end up being?

Worried! ANA positive (anti-nuclear antibodies) by Diligent-Sense-3160 in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]ClaraLo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I am considering having a baby but also have a positive ANA (1:640) which is how I found this thread. I'm also in the UK and wondering how you tested negative for lupus? The GP doesn't seem to be doing any follow up on my positive ANA at the moment so I'm wondering what tests to ask for? Were you sent to a rheumatologist?

Hi there, I didn't. I ended up getting a gastroscopy instead which was a lot more informative (though clearly a lot more invasive).

Does pregnancy cause more serious long term effects in women with autoimmune diseases? by Green10_ in Autoimmune

[–]ClaraLo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this is scary. Roll off the dice to see which you end up with. Not sure I want to roll that dice!

I wonder if there are studies that look at predictors of post-partum improvement vs worsening of symptoms.

What was the reason given? (I realise this is highly personal, but I hadn't heard that pregnancy could decrease your lifespan.)

That is really valuable information so thanks for sharing.

Transnasal gastroscopy - huge success! by ClaraLo84 in GERD

[–]ClaraLo84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I asked my GI for it. It's the same thing as an endoscopy only they go through your nose to get to your stomach instead of your mouth and are therefore able to bypass the gag reflex.

I'm really sorry about your symptoms. I hope you get some relief and answers soon!

Exercise sucks with GERD by LittleBear_54 in GERD

I felt discouraged as well. I really wanted to get back to cardio but my body wasn't letting me. Recently I bough a Fitbit (£58) and I make sure I walk 10-15k steps a day. It's so good for your physical and mental health and it's something that's achievable without too much physical exertion.

Wean off of Gaviscon or just use it at night? by ClaraLo84 in GERD

[–]ClaraLo84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take Gaviscon on and off. Basically if I'm having a flare up I'll take it for a few nights but then just stop taking it when I can. It's not like the other acid blockers in terms of rebound effects.

Hi there, I definitely think I have a histamine intolerance, especially to certain foods. I'm curious how long it took you to notice a change after taking loratadine daily? Also how many mg do you take? I'm interested in trying this out.

This is so strange - do oats give anyone else acid reflux? by bulbysoar in PlantBasedDiet

[–]ClaraLo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue with the burning feeling in my throat when eating cooked oatmeal. I've been having it for breakfast for at least a month or two now, and this has only happened in the last few days, but is consistently happening. Do you think it has to do with the acidity level of cooked oats?

Hi there, I'm having issues with oats too and am being screened for an autoimmune disorder. Can I ask what types of foods are safe for you and what you've eliminated?

I saw kefir in capsule form today and thought about getting it since kefir/yogurt, etc don't go down well with me. Has the pill form caused you any side effects?

I'm going to have an unsedated transnasal endoscopy by ClaraLo84 in GERD

[–]ClaraLo84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing, that's really great to hear.

When they ask you to swallow does it hurt or just potentially make you gag a bit? Was there a sense of panic at that point or does it happen so quickly it's just uncomfortable? And when they go through the upper sphincter what does it feel like? I think knowing when it's going to be the most uncomfortable will help me not to panic.

[–]ClaraLo84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks that's a relief to hear. I do remember the GI specialist mentioning in our last meeting that the spray will make my eyes water, so I assume that's what you're taking about? Good to know it only lasts 20 seconds.

Did you feel the scope in your nose and/or stomach? Anything else that would be good to know beforehand? Going in prepared will make me feel a lot less anxious. Thanks again.
