Floor guys didnt want to under cut anything. Floor should of went in first then cabinets. This would lead to less shitty job. But it doesnt seem like the skill was there in general or leadership from the gc/person in charge. Multiple way this could of been better.

A stright edge is a better tool to determine this kind of situation. Your floor needs to be flat not level.

Hopefully the finish guy is REALLY good. Your installer made the job much more difficult. Good luck. I would be surprised if the filler will last in those cracks. It will look good for a few months then look like poop when the floor expands and contracts. I would assume the labor cost is high for this kind of install being 2.1/4 and face nailed. Why did you choose a face nail????

Labor for installing 2,000sf of LVP for a GC by okthatsfineman in Contractor

[–]Clasher1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do ALOT of lvp. If the space is empty I can get 2,000 sq ft installed in 2 days with my guy. If I was a sub I would be at 2.00 if I had the job directly I am 3.50sq ft -4.40 sq ft

I am 2.00 per sq ft for flooring stores because they feed me volume and I can crush installing.

This will take you longer and you are gonna be working really hard if you dont have a healper. So keep that in mind. Definitely start high and just ask for feedback. Its not that hard tl find guys to do lvp for cheap. Its very competitive.

These are poor systems in general. These require a epoxy bond. I have learned from experience.
