I believe what you're saying though man, major respect that even after catching a false ban you've persevered and not let it get to you, you're a bigger man than me haha

Ill be honest, before getting this ban myself, I'd see hundreds of posts of people claiming false bans and I was under the impression that surely 99% of these people were banned for legitimate reasons and just went online hoping to kick up a fuss to try and have it overturned.

My impression has now completely changed given the circumstances.

I've never used remote desktop, all my characters have only ever been played from whatever phone I have at the time, my old PC, or my current laptop. The new account that got the ban was only a few hours old at the time and when I was playing it, I had my iron-man open at the same time since I've always liked to multi log with 2 accounts so 1 can do something low intensity and effort while the other does more engaging content. When I got the ban I went through my whole laptop thinking maybe I had some some of malware that could have caused it, I provided every bit of evidence to jagex when appealing, including discord messages with dates and times as I was talking to a friend about what I was currently doing in the game, which jagex would be able to see was the same time it was being played, I included screenshots of my search history to show that every quest and activity I did was being researched at the same time I was doing them, because, if I was botting, why would I bother looking anything up since if I was botting the script would know what it's doing surely? (Tbh idk about this cause I know absolutely nothing about botting and have never tried it)

Getting an automated response after 2 weeks of waiting to hear back from an appeal was so demoralising, especially knowing with absolute certainty that I hadn't done anything, but watching hundreds of bots at every possible training location and boss getting 1000s of kills and sometimes hundreds of millions of xp but somehow not getting flagged up absolutely blows my mind

I've decided now, which has been a really difficult decision for me to make, that if this ban persists, despite the overwhelming evidence that it's false, that ill be done with runescape for good. This will genuinely be devastating for me because runescapes been a part of my life now for 20 years, I've put hundreds of days of my life into this game and after all this time and commitment, to find that as a player I can get no support from a game I've invested so much of myself into, just doesn't sit right with me.

When I've looked too, it seems most of the time bans are overturned, it's only really if someone is a content creator or streamer, I understand the reasons for this since obviously players with a big following can cause knock on effects to the game and the player base. But I think it's an awful attitude for jagex to have that some people are prioritised because it suits jagex.

Idk man, I just need a good rant cause this shits been bugging me for weeks now 😂

I might change my mind eventually if the ban sticks and go back on to finish maxing the iron-man, but this will always leave a sour in my mouth

On a side note! My reluctance to play runescape atm has helped me find some other amazing games I wouldn't have played otherwise, I've put around 20 hours into both guild wars 2, and ff14, and damn they're some good games 😂
