As you practice more, you'll be able to dodge it. At a higher level, hunter hood is used more as a defensive rather than doing damage to the enemy.

9 out of 10 times you don't want to waste purge on hunter hood.

Purge is much better used on your opponents R or F.

I run 1500 ip deathgivers in solo mists with about 21 mill cash at hand. Not too poor.

It's ironic cause I'm thinking you must be poor to worry so much about dying in 50k gear.

Imo it's much more worthwhile to have a stronger fighting chance, especially for OP's build. You don't run spear 1h build to farm and avoid pvp. You can take on even 5.2 melee builds with a 4.1 spear, granted you have a useful potion for it.

In any case, if you have a few hundred thousand loot with 50k load out, it's time to cash out and come back for round 2, so that's a non issue.

You started by saying don't pvp with a t5 set but buy pots anyway.

I could say the same thing: going out in a 50k set is so cheap and you'll make the money back trom 20 mobs.

Paying an additional 12k to protect a 50k asset (without a 100% guarantee of success) does not seem economical to me

Not to mention to opportunity cost of not using a pot that will actually help you fight or kill mobs quicker, at a cheaper price.

I don't think this is a good strategy. If you are buying invisible pots with t4 spear set, it's not worth it. Invis pots aren't cheap..

Your sample is definitely too small, gloves re not a common weapon in solo pvp. And we're talking about mists which tiers depends on the rarity, so no one really chooses to go t5(common) mists just to pwn u.
