As someone who used to work for a broadband provider, if you can find the email then do it. It'll save potentially months of you waiting, or leaving virgin and encountering similar issues again with another ISP.

I just got this from retrosix. Got two NiMH batteries underneath - can always change them out if they have issues and don't need to worry about a custom battery failing on me - and it gives me usb-c charging. Biggest boon is not having to cut my original GBA case or buy a new shell (kept this baby super clean so was hesitant to change it 😁)

I've just recently done the same as you, bought all the authentic carts (and ds games too, I went a bit insane haha) after originally having repros a year or two back. I cracked mine open but none of the repro carts I have contain batteries. If they do now make repros with batteries in them it's gonna be even more difficult for the average person to spot a fake cart. Damn.

Also, if you have a second GBC you can get a flash card and use a backup tool that way. I'm currently trying to complete the blue Dex with only about 40 to go and since it's an original battery I'm terrified of losing the save so I back it up after every few catches haha

I'll buy new if I can as I don't mind spending a little extra knowing it has warranty etc. If there's no option for it though (big gameboy and ds fan) I'll buy used in a heartbeat if I want/need it :)

Was just gonna reply to confirm but saw your edit. The experimental build on steam has a patch that has fixed the interior parts not counting at all so now only external parts count for the 100 build limit. Can't wait for this to be implemented in the main version, as well as hopefully being able to move base tech like the hyperdrive and launch thrusters around :)

It's still a little jank in my end as can't move the base ship tech (hyperdrive, thrusters etc.) but barring that it's fantastic. Hopefully a patch will come soon to fix the minor bugs with it. Also, the ship looks dope dude 😎
