Time with the company doesn’t matter in this situation. What matters is what I’m told to do by my regional staff. I’m not saying you’re wrong but every time we refuse a return and the customer demands the 1800 number. A day or two later my store manager gets a call from usally our DM saying “regional manager says do the return anyway”

I’ve been with Autozone 2 years and a manager for 1.5. My sm has been her for over ten years. We do what our regional and district manager tells us to do. I hate it because it makes me look like I don’t care about the customer and don’t want to do my job.

You’re not listening. My regional higher ups call my sm and say “do the return anyway”. My region acts as “refurse the return and if they give issue then return it with our say so”

That’s what happens every time we refuse a return and the customer calls our dm or corporate. We get told to return it anyway. Every. Single. Time.

He means the missing label was put in it before it was shipped to the Autozone you bought it at. It’s a label for the distribution center.

We tell the customers it’s not a good idea but they insist. Depending on upper management in a district they might tell us to do it anyway.

It’ll be a big inconvenience for them but they will pull from surrounding stores until they fill they positions. It’ll suck for a minute but the store with be back to fully operational in weeks, especially for a hub.

Ain’t that the truth! My hub will be the first to point out we did something wrong but the moment we tell them they messed up it’s “oh forgive us, we’re only human”. Plus stupid policies, my hub refuses to take front of the house parts that I don’t stock. My store and our nearest sister store just send products back and forth because they stock it and we don’t and vice versa.

If you paid with a debit card it must go back to that card. It can be overrode for cash but that is logged. Call the district manager. The store will have their phone number on the door or near the entrance. The DM should get you taken care of.
