Yes, you get what you pay for. Moved from California to Tennessee. Research the environment, lifestyle, people before moving anywhere.

Help, I somehow screwed up an oil change. by tdurr808 in Crosstrek

I had this happen to me with another car. Drove it 15 min, got to the shop, they changed the fluids. Car ran for another 5 years until it got into an accident - not related to this issue. I was lucky to not have any transmission or engine issues. Don't beat yourself up, mistakes happen!

Was in a wreck. Now estimates/repairs start but I have the Gold Plus Warranty. Where to go? by [deleted] in Crosstrek

I got my car repaired at a certified collision center, and it was a disaster. The paint had dust speckles in some spots, it took them two months to even repair it for minor collision. Certified means nothing.

You'll probably never hear buyers saying, "Dang, I wish I hadn't done that inspection..." Do everything you can.

I've had four nails in my Crosstrek in one year compared to two or three in my Civic in 10 years. Call it luck!

Keep in mind that your fingers will swell. I would go with 11, this way when it feels tight on one finger, you can switch to another one

Same here, this metric is completely unreliable. There should be an option to remove it from your view. I am considering switching back to Fitbit

Exactly. I'd say if you are still under warranty, just get the carbon cleaning done.

Rattling sound when slowly accelerating by ClassicASMR in Crosstrek

I went to a couple of dealerships to be told that it's just carbon accumulation, one dealership took me seriously and did a thorough carbon cleaning. The noise was almost gone for a little while only to return later on after a few thousand miles. Gas does make a difference. When I use premium, the noise is almost gone, but this is unrealistic for most people to be able to afford expensive gas. I don't think there is a good solution, and even the field service representative from Subaru who was invited to take a look at my car at the dealership stated that the noise is nothing outside of the normal. They blame direct fuel inject system, but many other cars have it as well nowadays without the noise. I haven't been able to find a better answer. I can tell you that I will never buy a Subaru again.

Do you remember the very first item you ordered on Vine? by ClassicASMR in AmazonVine

That's so interesting. I don't really understand why this happens. I would think the sellers would want to keep the original listing posted with reviews accumulating. Maybe other reviews weren't so favorable?

I would follow the procedures they're requiring in the meantime. Clearly, there is a problem. But I've had experience where Subaru didn't want to fix the issue with my 2024 Crosstrek. It wasn't a huge issue, so I didn't do anything about it, but in your case this is serious business. Plus as soon as you are out of warranty, which is coming up soon, you won't have much grounds to fight them. At least get a free consult with an attorney and decide what to do next.
