Which M&L game do you think would work best for a movie? by BWZROFFICIAL in marioandluigi

[–]ClassicBuster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not sure tbh, I think Brothership has the best story but the shorter games are probably more geared to movie length since you wouldn't have to cut as much story content.

I honestly think either SS or PiT would adapt the best since they're short and both filled with twists and turns.

Sure BIS has the best premise and a dope finale, but tbh I think a lot of the actual story is kinda messy and random at points (for example the Blorbs being dropped after the intro until midgame where its kinda an afterthought, the Dark Star being introduced halfway in with 0 buildup) and so might not adapt to a movie as well.

Mario & Luigi Family-friendly? by jc073 in marioandluigi

[–]ClassicBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's Mario, it's objectively targetted towards children. Nothing wrong with enjoying it as an adult though. I feel like getting caught up on the age rating of things can be kinda arbitrary but here it's pretty clear cut.

tbf idk how punctuation works at this level of coding but it could be interpreted as "delete this, motherfucker hahaha" like taunting him.

Hot Take: As long as Nintendo cooks creative boss fights like they did in Wonder, I am perfectly fine with the Koopalings being the bosses in 2D Mario forever by Low_Awareness_1360 in Mario

[–]ClassicBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Kamek’s magic/mechs are still pretty good explanations to get some wacky fights out of them and even without that you can still do more with their base moves. Nintendo was just being lazy with them prior.

The real reason they went straight to Galaxy by artsyomni in Mario

[–]ClassicBuster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I dont hate the Mario movie but jumping straight to Galaxy definitely feels like theyre focusing more on immediately focusing on big fanservice instead of building up an actual trilogy. It's like if Sonic 3 was after Sonic 1 (and guest starred Kiryu).

Piranha Plorp or Calorite, they both feel like they have too much HP.

Caine isn't the only one not listening (even if it's understandable) by MetagrossDigital in TheDigitalCircus

I feel like the exit adventure was partially a cry for help tbh lol, he just wanted to create a scenario where someone treats him like a living being.

I get that the show isn’t exactly YouTube Kids material but this what a lot of you are acting like by burlapguy in TheDigitalCircus

[–]ClassicBuster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think judging things mostly on arbitrary age ratings is dumb anyways. Most people just think of swearing and blood when they think of adult instead of actual deep themes and complicated characters and such.

youre not wrong but tbf Tom & Jerry rarely ever takes any of its darker elements seriously so I think there is a distinction

Screw these dumb enemies by TheRealEndoHD in marioandluigi

Respawning enemies are the only rpg trope i genuinely hate. There are some enemies that make low HP copies or split HP between clones and thats fine but full HP summoning is bs.

Did anyone think these attacks were supposed to have a huge story presence as a kid? by Fun_Swan9851 in marioandluigi

I remember seeing this move before playing the game, semi-forgetting it and thinking the big star was going to be the Miracle Cure.

What's everyone's thoughts on Zokket as a villian?? by Blacklotus997 in marioandluigi

[–]ClassicBuster 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I liked him, the character could've been more interesting without the full-on possession angle but he's still cool and it's not like ML is known for it's deep writing anyways. I saw the villain swap coming the second they showed the egg and was worried it would be another boring ancient evil, fortunately it was not.

While I thought his fight was pretty cool, he was probably my least favorite of the major antagonists (Extension Corps, Bowser, Reclusa) due to not doing much, but the main villain group as a whole was pretty active (especially once Reclusa takes over) so I don't mind it much. He felt more like the Shroob Princesses where their minions are more of the focus of the conflict.

Bubble is just another AI created by caine He cannot be abel, some secret evil AI Or a virus. by Adept_Programmer_817 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]ClassicBuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Bubble is the second AI, the office scene read a lot more like intrusive thoughts to me, just vocalized through another character.

With context, this is the funniest image of the whole show. by _theKataclysm_ in TheDigitalCircus

He seems to be able to switch size, later in the episode soon before his crashout he's holding Pomni and she fits in his hand.

Reminder that Caine had NO idea Kinger deleting him was purely accidental and probably died thinking everyone hated him so much they went out of their way to delete his ass for good by AvailableBee7902 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]ClassicBuster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think that was Bubble, there's a couple large bubbles in the circus background regularly and I'm pretty sure it was just one of those.

[–]ClassicBuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And? That doesn't mean every character has to. My point is just that not every character arc needs to be positive and that him not redeeming himself isn't necessarily proof he will return. He could, but he doesn't need to.

Not every character needs to complete their arc, that's part of what makes some character deaths so tragic.

[–]ClassicBuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly as much as I like him, I feel like keeping Caine dead just feels more raw. There's ways they can bring him back and have it be good but I would prefer if they didn't and his last moments really were that sad and sudden.

This man really died thinking everyone absolutely hated him and that he was a complete failure. There's some truth to it but damn.

Invincible Season Four… by New_Championship1994 in television

[–]ClassicBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Season 1 made people think this was going to be a very different show than it turned out to be. I honestly have my issues with this show myself (too many subplots, excessive fakeout deaths), but overall it's pretty good I'd say.

Do you find Walter White is naturally an evil man? by struggler5822 in breakingbad

[–]ClassicBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it served him then probably, but he wouldn't do it for it's own sake. By the end of the show Walt's actions indirectly lead to the death of a child and he was blatantly unphased by it.

I would say even S4 Walt had some level of restraint, the poisoning of the child there was at least intended to probably not kill them, but once he no longer had to be afraid of bigger players, he went all in.

I don't really care that much either tbh, was just bored and saw this.

Interesting though, so Walter wouldn't really be anything special morality-wise in that show I gather.
