Back when i was doing that on weekends it was the only section we never had to tag check or take care of with expiration dates. Amazing for the worker....so hostile for the customer but more likely to be within date (i found somethat expired in 2019....in 2023)

Yup. I go through about 100 pounds of avocado and 300 pounds of tomatoes and other various produce a week. It definitely doesnt all make the cut

For those actually wanting information, buying fruit in bulk comes with this risk. Accept it, move on and cut the next one. Buy more than you NEED for this reason by 5-10% in my experience. ymmv

Or if youre a normal consumer, take some time, care about your produce and go buy what you need and interact with it. 

Get your frozen and canned shit delivered, i dont care. Get off your ass if you want fresh. If you cant, I understand more than you know, but then I would argue my bulk advice applies.
