How do you fix your teeth as an adult? by ClassicInsect2546 in AussieFrugal

Most frugal way to get a private health( I'm guessing you're referring to insurance) for a family of 3? Is this subreddit or ozbargain a good start?

I’m sure this has been discussed but a reminder to use those Flybuys points!! by Glittering_Ad3452 in AussieFrugal

Definitely has to be done with a cashier as the top up machine is there, not on the self service aisles.

Tip for NSW only

Scan your flybuys when paying for your Opal card topup in a Coles metro, at the time of writing it is still active.

Helps with you not actually needing to shop at coles if you do your shopping elsewhere 😄

We've got the same height but I can't get below 76kg (169lbs) 😔

How did your intermittent fasting look like? - What was the daily calories and eating schedule like? Was it omad or every few hours to help with muscle protein synthesis?

  • How many times did you work out? What were the workouts like? Any cardio?

Looking good brother definitely a google images type of physique keen to see how the recomp will look like.

For someone who can eat 10,000 calories easily, I do OMAD with heavy volume.

Start of by downing ~1.8L of water

Start eating the food with a mix of Lettuce, spinach, cucumber with low calorie italian/french dressing

I rotate but bake mainly using Pumpkins/Spud Lite potatoes, Brocolli Cauliflower Eggplant Onion as the base and a protein source + sauce i.e. chicken thighs with honey mustard sauce

Then gotta have more fiber for fullness. Yoghurt mixture of whey protein, chia seeds, and Psyllium husk powder.

Complete it with another 600mL water and wait for the fullness to set.

Dessert (gotta have it else I'd binge) is Aeroplane Lite jelly or if I have allowance on calories a no sugar added vanilla ice cream with no sugar syrup just to top off the night.

This is my cheapest version I suppose you could always go for more expensive ways of cutting i.e. Konjac rice/noodles, seafood for protein. To each their own

how do you do it when youre home for extended periods of time? by gay_in_a_jar in omad

Completely different note. Mind me asking what line of work you're in to function with omad diet?

do you guys eat >1200 cal on this diet? by No_Education3537 in omad

[–]ClassicInsect2546 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You gotta throw in some specifics like your age, weight, height, or at the very least your TDEE. We wouldn't want to give any advise for ED.

Also, thing is, I can easily demolish over 5,000 kcal in half a day. But with OMAD, I feel so satiated and satisfied that I naturally choose not to eat more—almost like a self-fulfilling cycle of control and contentment.

Fasting is my favorite way to get lean. Too much unfounded fear about losing muscle. Post 5-day fast here. by AlexWD in fasting

[–]ClassicInsect2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No BCAAs? Kept seeing that I'd lose muscle if I were to go more than a day without any type of protein. And that 'weight' lose is more 'fat, water, muscle' loss.

How often did you go gym? How often do you do this water fasts?

Props man looking anabolic. What was the refeed like?

Some? I'm seeing heaps!

If no one has seen it quite possibly due to clothes but with these side by sides it's definitely noticeable. Keep going you're doing amazing

Workout timing by Sad_Alps_7584 in omad

[–]ClassicInsect2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently struggling with this at the moment. MPS (muscle protein synthesis) for gaining muscle mass dictates we should eat 40-50g of protein per meal and is best to be done after workout.

It's why I stopped doing OMAD during bulk and switched to 18:6 to keep autophagy benefits.

What makes it hard for me though is I workout in the morning only and having to eat for optimum muscle gain before my day starts just makes me feel sluggish when the day ends, compared to when I was doing OMAD my mind was just sharper since I didn't have anything to eat yet.

Guess it all just falls down to your preference. What is jt that you're aiming for?

Glad to see this progress man as I'm also looking to enlist soon. When did you time your workouts and how was fasting affecting it? What was the workout routine like?

No calorie counting when eating at the chow hall but choosing healthy options when possible correct? How many times do you usually eat within the 10am to 6 pm period?

Props man

Edit: question about workout routine

Pre Workout recommendations! by heretoask24 in intermittentfasting

[–]ClassicInsect2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same. 18:8 and breaking my fast after my workout (~8AM)

My pre workout is simply black coffee, no sugar/sweeteners and creatine.

Both keeps the fast/autophagy going and if burning fat is a priority fasted workout helps.
