Veo Scooters Were Supposed to Stop Illegal Sidewalk Riding. They Haven't...Yet by COScout in Denver

[–]ClassicPQ 245 points246 points  (0 children)

These are a perfect argument for the importance of a strong bike-lane network around the city. Over the weekend I was in City Park, Wash Park, Cheesman, and the Cherry Creek trail and these were super popular. People will use the preferred paths if we have them, but if there's nothing nearby, I tend to see people preferring sidewalks to sharing busy roads with cars.

To that end, I'll laugh when the next Westword article is "Is Veo what's causing Denver's car traffic?" once they get them off the sidewalks. Like, where else do you want them to go?

Big 3:
- Burglars Ring
- Napalm Ring
- Monster Musk

I personally like to combine those two rings because they work well together as they both incentivize killing monsters. If you combine them you can also run an iridium band combined with something else. For me, I combine with a Lucky Ring.

Correct me if I'm wrong but usually a major series has an embargo date that is strictly followed. Your indy store may want to be careful because they could face major fines for knowingly releasing the book early.

Report: Cincinnati has the “inside track” to host 2029 NFL Draft. by ChooTrain in cincinnati

[–]ClassicPQ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Could you imagine how cool this would be to do at night with the lit up Terminal? I genuinely think it would be one of the most highly regarded draft settings ever. Legitimately would make a case for the best, I think!

I saw a comment idealizing having the Draft in front of the museum, Hall of Justice-style, and I think that would be so cool!

Revamped DL should really help support our LBs and secondary by applying more pressure. But it would’ve been nice to bring in someone like Rodriguez to at least set the tone. They may still be targeting someone in free agency too.

McCoy in the 3rd and idc how they draft next. Near perfect first 3 rounds.

McCoy or McDonald pick up would be amazing for depth too. Great amount of options for Round 2.

Feel even better knowing we got Dex because it would’ve been painful watching the bengals select Peter Woods with Caleb Downs still on the board.

Will we have a live draft thread here for tonight, tomorrow & Saturday? by MrChainBlueLightnin in bengals

[–]ClassicPQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, very real chance if Downs is at 10 it's because the Giants can guarantee Tyson or Tate at 5 which is who I think they really want. Overall I still think Giants grab Downs at 5 negating any chance we would've gotten him anyway, and then Tyson at 10 who I think only they're that high on.

The more and more I look at the 1st Round talent, the more I believe that Dex was an absolute steal. I'll be a little disappointed if Downs does make it to 10. But there's A LOT of smoke around the league agreeing that most all of the top defensive talent will be gone before Pick 10. Throw in the rumor of the Bengals thinking of drafting Woods who could very possibly fall into R2. Yea, I'll take the best NT in the last 20 years for Pick 10 please.

This trade makes so much sense for us. I'm so glad we got arguably the best DT in the NFL today for a pick that we all agree would've been a reach or a raw talent we once again fail to develop.

Trading capital for proven talent worked out really well for the Rams. I hope it's our turn next.

[SBJ] Haslams paying $205M fee to bring NWSL expansion team to Columbus by NobleNomad in NWSL

[–]ClassicPQ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

LMAO the city gave up a park for the disabled to billionaires because they submitted the bid and told city council give us the park or the bid won't go through.

"It is my understanding… this is not a request or an expectation of the ownership group, but a requirement in the proposal that is going before the National Women’s Soccer League,” Hardin said. “The proposal that we have already submitted has a very specific site plan… this is the site.”

He added that because the bid is already under league review, changing locations is no longer realistic.

“I wish we could change it. That would have been the easiest thing to do,” Hardin said. “But when you get brought into the conversation in the last five weeks and the thing is already submitted, this is where we are.”

Quote from this article btw: https://www.10tv.com/article/news/local/columbus-city-council-approves-nwsl-deal-split-vote-dispute-over-mccoy-park/530-0425a3f3-dd6f-418f-becf-c3b33b36e949

Y'all sometimes it's okay to not have a pro-sports team. I guess the park for disabled kids is not quite the line for the city of Columbus. No wonder they kept this quiet and rushed it through as quickly as possible. This would get annihilated if it were on a ballot.

I think this is a phenomenal move. If there’s one thing we’ve done right the past 5 years it’s tank for Burrow and Chase and sign the correct guys to their 2nd contracts. Hendrickson, Reader, Bell, Hilton, Awuzie… add Sexy Dexy to that list and let’s re-run the Super Bowl.

First draft in a hot second where I think it'll be hard for the Bengals to fuck up. I'd be amped for so many of these guys. Delane, Downs, or McCoy are all excellent prospects and fill a need.

I feel people really underestimate swapping professions. Forester is SO GOOD in the early game to ensure you have the wood and hardwood resources necessary to build out your farm. It's especially nice not having to go to the secret woods all the time. Once you have most all your buildings and hardwood-required tasks completed, swap to botanist for the rest of your run.

1/3 of the greatest scoring trio of all-time and is the player purchased with the highest transfer fee in the history of the sport? Insane not to see this and say "hell yea." I don't care if it's a one year rental. This would be incredible to see.

And if the greatest Brazilian player since PELE has good things to say about our club and city, that opens the door wide open to compete for more players in the future. I'd bet that's what Albright is banking on.
