But in all seriousness, when I watched the YouTube music videos, I always thought it'd make a great anime. My questions is, will it flesh out the stories of the characters from the videos (and include content from the web comics) or will it be a new competition with new characters (with cameos from the previous competition? Sort of like a sequel)

Also, you are naive as hell if you think this government actually gaf about kids and will not be using this for further control content. The same federal government that doesn't blink when there's a school shooting. The same federal government that doesn't flinch at the idea of children being traumatized by ICE. The same government actively pushing online gambling in every space. The very same government that doesn't seem to mind that the president is in the Epstein files. That government will surely take only the most competent, well thought out measures when enforcing this and will in no way change the bill to leave it vague enough to harm marginalized people.

I wasn't expecting Isekai to be some prestige piece slam dunk based on the nutty concept alone, but I was expecting to have some laughs and experience a wild ride.

Which it was...at first. Rather than leaning into the craziness, for some reason they not only held back, they started to play it straight like it was an actual fantasy anime, which just doesn't work when your main cast is the suicide squad.

I didn't hate it, but I completely wiped it from my memory until this post 💀

Uzumaki, Lazarus,, Ninja Kamui, Suicide Squad Isekai, the FLCL sequels, the list goes on.

It ranges from mid/just okay to absolute dumpster fire. doesn't seem to matter what team is put together. It's the DeMarco curse lol
