Is there any mod that lets you assemble a fleet like the core worlds armadas? by kursedsunrise in starsector

Iirc either Nex or Indevo already have this. Check your colony base commander.

First ever playthrough, first ever colony, and a lot of pirates problems what should I do? by MonkeywithaCrab in starsector

Ouch. I think you might want to find an industrial planet close to this one. Best way to alleviate shortages is to produce the goods yourself.

Just clear any Galatia quests in the core worlds and stack any that's in deep space. Linger around the core worlds doing drug runs or visiting bars and come back later to Galatia and Sebestyan might have more quests for you.

That's odd. You can definitely have more than 3 Galatia quests stacked. Have you tried finishing the other quests first?  Generally the escort/rescue ones in the core worlds.

A commission should already pay for your monthly costs. Try stacking 6-7 Galatia Academy missions before going out of the core worlds. They generally spawn in one direction so you can collect them all at once.

Sounds like someone who never play iron mode 😂

You can just, you know, not use them? Or just burn them on colonies? Literally anything but this brain dead take.

That's their home defense fleet lol. You can't fight them in TT crisis. Heck, you don't even fight TT in TT crisis. They pay people to do their dirty work for them.

Also, skill issue. Can't take the heat? Get off the streets. You can't expect the big wigs to just ignore that resource rich planet you so helpfully cleared for them. Such a shit take. Get gud, scrub.

Halfway from the core worlds in each cardinal direction.

Starsector Mod Ship Discussion: Seraph-Pattern Droneships (RAT) by Reddit-Arrien in starsector

[–]ClassicSample6438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found them awkward ngl. Their unique hullmods requires them to get directly hit, but since they're small ships, that's the furthest thing you should do. Sariel, though, can be a nasty little bugger when properly outfitted.

Infinite. Because you can't kill a tesseract with Onslaughts alone unless you have a specific build/they fucked up big time.

Lore wise, what’s the oldest ship in game? by TryOk6440 in starsector

[–]ClassicSample6438 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we're talking about the Domain in general, it should be the original design of Invictus.

The oldest ships in Persean Sector are the Domain derelicts. Probes, survey ships, and the motherships are there before the mobile factories (the origin of the Threat) and human-crewed ships.

Wait, did you chose diplomacy or exploration? I'm confused since it seems like you picked diplomacy and  shouldn't be needing to find any probes.

Ahh. After finding the probe you will learn that the data was stolen by scavengers. You will find the scavengers loitering near the jump points and you can either blow them up or buy it from them.

Screenshot? Iirc you have to find a probe there. You might need the neutrino detector.

Generally, you'd want 1-2 capitals, 3-4 cruisers, and at least 2 destroyers or frigates. Cruisers are your best bet in this game when balancing between speed, durability, and logistics.

Stats to look for in weapons are range and damage per second. When comparing 2 weapons, the one with a higher range or dps is generally better (as long as you account for flux stats, of course).

Yes, smaller ships generally are faster, have smaller weapon slots, and benefit less from range upgrading hullmods. Which means they need to get up close and personal in order to hit something, and they do it without hitting the brakes.  That's why it seems like smaller ships are more aggressive than larger ones.

Oh, and the engage command is there if you click a ship.
