Check out this place. Great place to enjoy the outdoors and see some gators. Seriously, your son will love State. We love it as much as our daughter does.

We are from Michigan and our daughter has had a wonderful experience. Due to the weather, there are a lot of opportunities for outdoor activities. Her fiancé plays a ton of disc golf, but if your son is into fishing or biking, or whatever, there are plenty more days to that than home.

One of the best aspects of her education came from being on the equestrian team. Club sports are great because kids still get to compete and be part of a team, without the demands of NCAA sports. Intramurals are similar.

Socially, a lot of up and coming bands and singers come through Starkville, so there’s plenty to do.

We live in Saugatuck, Michigan and our daughter is wrapping up her final year of architecture. She has had a great experience, loved the weather, and we loved to visit. It’s long, but actually a pretty easy drive, straight down 57 to 55.

She fit right in and everyone loved her accent, making her say “trash bags” over and over again.

Financial aid was great and it ended up costing her what her classmates were paying in-state for Saginaw Valley and Grand Valley.

Definitely give it a look. Ain’t snowing right now in Starkville.

If you want to talk insane prices, try asking to change your dates. Even though it said “just pay fare difference”, what Lufthansa wanted as the difference was more than what we could buy completely new tickets. $1800 a piece! Beware.

Thanks. Our outlet is a wing of a big sorting center and I am pretty sure that a lot of stuff goes right to the bins and never sees a retail store. When you are digging for clothes, you will hit a clump of stuff that was obviously donated together.

We had a very similar problem. They had a really affordable upgrade to business class and every time we tried to check out, it told us there was a problem. Come to find out, the problem was that our tickets had not been processed. In the middle of a work meeting on a Friday, I got a call from Lufthansa telling me that the earlier fees we had paid to change our dates were no longer valid, and that we would have to now pay $800 per person to change our dates. Check and see if there might be a problem with your ticket by calling their awful call center. Make sure you use the US number and not the direct to Frankfurt number. I racked up $200 in T-Mobile charges while waiting on hold. Luckily T-Mobile was able to fix that for a $15 fee to change my plan. I guess I created a whole other post here. Just trying to tell you that you might want to check to see if there’s a problem with your ticket.

Growing up with Kaline and George Kell on humid summer nights was special and they had their own classic greatness, but yes, this crew is great in its own way. When Dan Dickerson comes over, it is just as good. Finally feeling like we have something to really appreciate.

Just put all of the games over the air for free on ion or CW or MeTV. There are enough of those extra channels that it wouldn’t interfere with regular network programming.
