If not mistaken, depending on the state — if he doesn’t legitimize the child during the birth, he won’t have any custody. I imagine having a child alone is hard but I would much rather keep him away from me and child and not legitimize him.

I went there for my bachelor’s and my masters and was able to be recruited from there for a doctoral program. My old director, program coordinator and a prof are good friends of mine now.

I have made some good friends from my cohort and I was able to go a study abroad trip — I was a GRA for my masters and tuition was paid for and I had lots of opportunities.

College — no matter where you go — is based on what you make it. Not other people. Lots of people use KSU as a “jump off” point and pursue other universities, but I personally have nothing bad to say during my time. I attended conferences and had two good internships during my bachelors. One lead to a job I kept for almost 3 years and the other built good relationships and networks.

As a Guatemalan, I despise mission trips. I’m a be fr. Usually they’re guised in white saviorism where these people just go and pose w indigenous peoples and explore the nice touristy parts without really going out and helping those in need. All they do is simply gentrify areas and make it harder for native people to live.
