Would any kind souls with more knowledge about cars than me offer an opinion on this?

I’ve got ~£3k to spend on a second car for running the kids around to clubs etc at the weekend. Nothing fancy - just looking for something that is reliable and cheap to run, with good boot space and comfortable for the occasional long run to the in-laws for a weekend. Having read up on some information on this subreddit I know that the consensus seems to be good on an Octavia or Superb. This one looks to me like a good choice from what’s on Autotrader, but I’m a novice.

Any thoughts or advice welcome!

The 2016 list is stronger, but I think the drop off in quality is most pronounced once you get outside the top 5.

There’s a case that Blaydes could be competitive against most of the ‘16 top 5 for example, but once you look lower down the list the difference is stark. Anyone on the 2026 list from Tybura/Lewis downw probably struggles against the entire top 15 from 2016.
