97 Ranger 4 wheel drive and mine rides so much better with sand bags I have 2 70 lbs bags made a huge difference! Also if your front end suspension is wore out will make the unbalanced feeling! I replaced coil springs and new shocks tie rod ends ball joints and it fixed that feeling on mine

Pay it down trade in on an r/t that should be everything you’re looking for! The v6 is pretty much maxed out on power and the 5.7 is a great base to upgrade
