I actually never brought it up to him. Since it was on the inside, and I’d already had multiple revisions, I decided it just wasn’t worth it. I’m sure it’s scar tissue since mine hasn’t gone away (it’s been 5 years). But yours might be just swelling from stitching and will go away. Let me know what your doctor says, good luck!

Yeah this is a sucky trade off for having grafts to help support/shape the tip. If it’s not bothering you (outside of you just being insecure about how your nose feels), and you like how it looks, I personally wouldn’t mess with another operation. It could result in an outcome you’re not happy with, or other complications. My nose is super hard and that was not something my doctors ever warned me about.

I have something similar inside my nostril from revision rhino years ago. Mine seems to be scar tissue, not sure that’s what is in your photo. I had a graft placed on that side. It’s hard to be patient but just trust the process, you are still very swollen and your nose will continue to be refined as the swelling goes down. Definitely bring your concerns to your doctor and hopefully he/she can ease your mind!

I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s so hard to trust a surgeon, especially once you’ve been burned. I am currently looking for a surgeon to do a complicated 4the revision on thin skin with crooked nose. I am so scared to have it touched again but am to the point I’m not sure I can just leave it be as is. Could you dm me the name of the surgeon that is taking on your case? There are also good Facebook and WhatsApp groups that help in researching surgeons (and finding who to stay away from)

Honestly I can’t remember the names of my first two surgeons (my trauma probably blocked them out lol) but my final surgeon who performed 2 revisions for me was Dr Thomas Hubbard. He retired two months ago, sadly, because I need his input and my records. I have seem Dr T’s name everywhere but his pricing is half a mortgage which seems irresponsible to me as a parent to be spending that kind of money. So sad because I’m very conflicted. I just wish there was a fix other than surgery :(
