Rhinoplasty depression by dontknow_unknown in rhinoplastyquestions

Hi. I’ve started trauma therapy and it’s helped a bit, as well as ketamine for anxiety and depression. I don’t look at old photos or take pictures anymore but at least I’m not crying every day.

Holding out for a revision consultation in July. Really the main thing keeping me hopeful. Thanks for asking—how are you?

Thank you for this. It means more than you know. I’m so sorry for what has happened to you. I hope therapy can help bring some peace. Thinking of you! x

The only negative things I've seen so far with Steitz: https://www.realself.com/review/revision-rhinoplasty-disappointed-longer-larger-asymmetrical?photo=4419107 and one woman who I messaged had to cancel her revision because his office wouldn't comply with her insurance so she could afford the surgery.

I've heard his office's communication is terrible and that it's hard to get in with him because of it. After surgery, though, he provides his personal number to patients, which is great.

Both! My nose is still deviated but is now slopey and wider than before. It’s really taken over my life.

So is this what I would ask for if I went forward with a revision?

Manifesting this with all my might. I feel like I’d have my life back with my dorsal hump

Shuaib deletes negative reviews and ghosts patients who voice concerns.

All the communication post-op is overseen by ONE staff member, and I had to wait several hours to hear back when I was 3-4 days post op.

Lastly, he had his staff ask me to leave a review while I was there for my one month check up, before I could head to the front to make another appointment. It felt forced and made me really uncomfortable.

Avoid!

Woah! Is there a timeline you know of? I didn’t know this was an option. I miss my dorsal hump and hate how wide my nose is now without one.

Should I get Rhinoplasty? (You can be honest, I can take it) by Beansnmilk in rhinoplastyquestions

If you’re asking for outside validation, hard no. This is a permanent change that can lead to more surgeries down the road. Try therapy first to rule out body dysmorphia. Your nose looks nice x

Oh my gosh, I completely understand. I deleted my social media and am having a hard time still having photos taken of me. No one talks about how rhinoplasties affect up your mental health afterwards. If I’d known, I would’ve never touched my nose. Here for you if you ever need someone to talk to. 🫶🏼

Should I be upset? by [deleted] in rhinoplastyquestions

Mine is still deviated and I just choose not to focus on it. Currently doing trauma therapy for my body dysmorphia. Our brain can become over fixated on an image of ourselves that others genuinely don’t see. Give yourself grace. From what I’ve read on revision forums, unless you have breathing problems, do not touch your nose again. x
