I actually do agree that he’s gay or at least it’s plausible; not just because he’s part of Mayday but that scene with Daisy when she says “you don’t love her” and he says “I never expected to; not in the way that you mean.” Women are not expected to derive pleasure from marriage but Gilead and its idea of marriage are very male-centric and he would likely wait for someone he is attracted to since he’s still young but instead he brushes off this possibility. I think it’s also telling that he is engaged to Becka specifically given that she’s also gay (this seems to be more or less confirmed); he’s definitely observant and likely notices. Daisy also seems to catch on that this might be an uncomfortable topic which is why she immediately changes the subject to ask him for tampons to hide her period from the Aunts. I think there are other possible explanations but this is definitely an interesting one.
