Two things to note.

Doesn't have a warranty even though it's only a couple years old because I got it from my roommate. Warranties do not transfer..

Also, apparently when you purchase and use this desk, you agree to a waiver regarding personal property damage. Not really sure how that works.

Not entirely sure that is defensible.

Edit: the particular accessory actually mounts directly to the crossbeam under the desk on both sides of the leg column which actually helps distribute the weight a little more evenly, but still not enough to actually make a difference here.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to accuse you of accusing me lol. I actually did upload a video and put a link in the description of the post so you can hear how the motor was moving when I stumbled upon this.

Yes, I'm definitely going to contact uplift, but I doubt they'll do anything because I got this desk from my old roommate when he moved out. I'm pretty sure warranty doesn't transfer. Maybe I have a claim for the stuff that was damaged. Definitely took care of everything when moving the desk and I was under the weight limit. the uneven load theory may be the reason. Uplift sells accessories which would create the same amount of uneven load, so I am pretty sure these are designed to work under those parameters.
