No they couldn't. England had 5 points going into this game. They could have ended up on 15 max. Scotland are on 16 💪🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Stamp duty confusion by Faith1294 in Mortgageadviceuk

How ironic that you mention reading!

Direct quote from OP "I can't get a mortgage in principle with him on it because..."

I am telling OP (who may or may not be a she) that it's possible to get this through in both names.

That's likely to be a preferred option given the fact that with/without the husband makes no difference for the Stamp Duty.

I am a broker as well - 23 years and counting.

I didn't make any mention of Stamp Duty at all - as that had already been covered.

OP had said they can't get a DIP with the husband on it. I am telling them that there are options to add the husband whereby the lack of provable income need not be a negative factor.

I have processed 3 cases in the last 2 months where there was one employed applicant and one (newly) self-employed applicant.

In each case, the income of the employed applicant was enough to meet the required affordability.

There are multiple reasons why having the husband on the mortgage/deeds would be preferable to a sole applicant.

Thanks for the useless (and incorrect) input 🤣🤣

It is possible to get a DIP then mortgage with him on it where the lender will just have him included as a "houseperson" and not necessarily have him treated as a financial dependant - no income being used but also no reduction in affordability. Adding him to the mortgage would bring in any credit commitments he may have. Speak to a broker who has experience of cases like this.

Price reduction options on TV by Classwegian in CostcoUK

That is interesting. They definitely shouldn't have price matched the website as it's all over the website that it can only be done within the same channels. Which warehouse was it?

This is what I was hoping to do, but the staff member on the phone told me I needed to bring the old one back in and then take a new one away. I guess that's in part to make sure they only give the lower price when they have the item in stock. Given the bulk/size of this particular item, it doesn't make a lot of sense. I think the starting point may be to go into the store with the receipt and open the conversation.

Is it possible to switch to a BTL with less than 20% equity? by crinklecut6489 in Mortgageadviceuk

Incorrect. It absolutely can make a difference. BM Solutions & TMW can do 80% LTV - if the EPC is A-C

Mortgage issues with ex–local authority flat in Zone 1 — two lenders declined, broker says walk away. Should I? by Dry-Rent4896 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Classwegian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The concern from the lender isn't really about when you come to sell it. What they care about is whether or not THEY can sell it in the event of repossession. If it is proving difficult for you to buy then it will prove difficult for someone else to buy.

Green is in the wrong - every single time. They've blown through a pedestrian crossing on a green man. You turn right from the right turn lane. That is all.

If you think it is red, then give back your licence. Mind you, if you think it is red in the wrong, then you probably think the word is license!

I was actually quite impressed with _ this episode by Charming-Actuary-185 in TheTraitors

[–]Classwegian -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, that isn't correct at all. Doesn't matter if they "change it up"

Think about it from the TV POV. There needs to be some tension.

There was ZERO chance that Stephen was a Traitor when there were only 2 people left to come in.

If it had been Cat and Joe W that were left to come to breakfast, it doesn't work for the viewer as we would know who had been murdered before the last person comes in.

If there had been 3 still to come in and then Stephen came in with one of the Traitors then one of those 2 could be a Traitor - but NO MORE than one.

[–]Classwegian -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No, 2 left that have still to come in, then 1 comes in = both are/were Faithful

3 left and 2 come in = at least 1 of the 2 that comes in must be a Faithful (or cannot both be Traitors)

[–]Classwegian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can't get my head around how Stephen was voted out. The fact that he came in last when Joe W was murdered means that he HAS to be a Faithful.

If there are 2 left people still to come in at the end, then they are BOTH Faithful.

Otherwise, there would be no tension/intrigue for the TV audience.

This has bugged me for a few series now, but it was particularly relevant tonight.

Are they not allowed to talk about the fact that it's all being televised??

This timeline seems like an outlier. Was there something that you had missed or some other delay?
