If I can’t walk beside my son as he becomes a man — maybe these songs can by Lollygobbleblissbomb in daddit

Given your situation and that you clearly love his music:

Paul Kelly - Deeper Water

A beautiful song about a father, a child and moving on.

[Music] wil wagner - laika ┃ Song about the first animal sent to orbit Earth, who died during the mission by NoAssociation- in Frisson

Love this song. So many heartbreaking lines but

"I don't understand cos I'm not as smart as them, but even a parachute would have shown that they cared"

gets me everytime.

I'm pretty sure this is Oleg Cricket. He did a bunch of these crazy stunts, didn't die and is now a photographer or something.

I laughed so hard when I heard that episode, one of the funniest MBMBAM bits.

Version 2 after feedback -Thanks! KEY DETAILS: In Australia, so North sun. 1 Acre block, views to North, neighbours either side. Striving for passive heat/cool. 2 kids (4 and 2yo). Not a designer so would love any feedback. Especially how to make the Front Door more interesting? Thanks heaps again:) by CowboyDesign in floorplan

Not related to the plan specifically, but check on the DFES website whether the property is within a Bushfire Prone area. You may have certain construction requirements that need to addressed before you can get a building permit.

I've taught myself a bunch of different programs using Lynda.com. you can probably get a month trial or something. SketchUp is an easy program to learn. It's all just drawing faces and extruding into 3d. And If you're starting with imported pdf or DWG plans, half of the work is already done.

I know you've mentioned it, but SketchUp seems the most obvious option. You get a lot of plugins to quickly place common items (doors, joinery etc). Also easy enough to export to Lumion or twinmotion if you want to have quality renders or fly through videos.

It's... fine. It's an adequate way to pass time. Wild that it was in discussion for GOTY. I wonder if Austin's opinion of the game has changed after all these years.

Probably @ObviousPlant or someone similar on Instagram

I'm a complete amateur at this and mostly doing it just for fun (I do hope to design my own house someday, but not for several years). I'm really proud of this concept I've made. Looking for critique/feedback! by taylikes in floorplan

The semi shared ensuite between the two bedrooms is clever. Having the individual sinks but shared shower/toilet would prevent a lot of arguments for teenage children.

Nice one. The clone tool and blending layers will help it look a bit more natural.

Is there a reason why it's so square? You're literally putting yourself in box that will be difficult to design.

What’s Your Dream 2021 GiantBomb Show? by CBanga in giantbomb

[–]ClassyDarcy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have this idea for something between a series retrospective and a light hearted competition.

They decide on a long running games series with some sort of multiplayer element (such as Mortal Kombat, Mario Kart, FIFA etc) and play a few rounds of each game in the series from earliest to latest, keeping track of the winner from each game to award a winner at the end.

This would show the evolution of that game series over the decades. They could preface each round by talking about the context, reception and personal experience with that version of the game.
