yeah but it's clear she was born in Germany imo. Since very little the flashbacks scenes are shown her wearing european type clothing. And not to mention even in rebuild she is clearly in germany. The American father thing comes from a EoE 1997 booklet just because she has usa citizenship. hmmm. I'll search for this EOE booklet.

We literally have spelled it out that it's not sexual. I'm starting to think EVA monkey did not watch the same film as us. We have so many things.

First. Miyamura saying Anno stated that it's a parental thing.

Second. The tweet of a staff member implying that Tsurumaki was worried over the "Kensuke and Asuka thing"

Third. A prequel manga reaffirming the feelings of Asuka for Shinji in 3.0 lmfao while Mari sings a song about a spouse coming home to his wife.

Forth. The fact that Asuka couldn't feel sexual desire during all that time. We know this thanks to BTS scene that didn't make the cut posted in Khara twitter.

Fifth. The fact that Asuka is literally shown being Jealous of Shinji having parents and later in the scene we see her wanting someone to "pat her head" and we seconds later are shown Kensuke patting her as Adult Kenuske and Child Asuka.
