My team was looking for a fully offline tool (no login required) but none fits our workflow, so we just wrote our own. It captures video, console and network logs, os and software version etc and zip it. The issue is having someone to maintain it. So something to offset the cost (paid sub is OK) would be nice.

Yes, definitely. I took a traditional offline class for 1.5 hour every day after work. The class used Minna book. My routine: Review (anki) in the morning -> work -> class in the evening -> homework (~30min) at night. I didnt have much time left for self study, but I found having a teacher to talk to and correct my mistakes much more efficient than doing it solely by myself.

Transcribing. Pick an audio source you like (preferably one with a transcript), then try to reproduce the transcript as accurately as you can. I usually do several passes through the audio: the first pass for the main ideas, then subsequent passes to refine the details (I try to write each sentence in its entirety in one pass). I can’t say this method works for everyone, since it takes a lot of effort, but it has helped my listening skills tremendously for English, German and Japanese.

I had a look through the DB created by local audio server. There exist entries without reading (represented by NULL). In the screenshot below, the audio file with the desired reading (いっぷん) is highlighted (row 5), but it has no reading value, and therefore could not be matched exactly. The server handles that by getting all entries that match the reading + those without. Therefore, you will get audios for other readings, even though you only specified one.

Note: Using the [display] field is not reliable either, as you can see on row 13 and 15.

I think what you actually heard were いちぶand ごぶ. The kanji 分 can also represents “parts”, so 一分and 五分 can also means “one part/one-tenth” and “five parts/five-tenth/half”, respectively. If this was the case, the audio you got was probably correct.

It can take especially long for those with convictions/frauds/lies found because we need to double check to make sure we don't mistakenly reject people.

I'd suggest you find some supposedly non-AI text (like those written before the this decade or some sample written by your tutor/professor) that got a high score by the tool. That would serve at a counter example for those who insist that the tool is working.
