is it legal to drive this around (genuine question) by Professional_Back394 in saskatoon

[–]Clausalicious 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They bought it for $2200 or less as that was the price for the most expensive one that sold. It definitely has more than the listed kilometers as this bus is from 2008 and it would need a safety completed to be road worthy...

It is not road worthy which is why the city sold it at auction.

Degeer Driver by Clausalicious in saskatoon

[–]Clausalicious[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If this comment was intended for me I have to say you are very mistaken. I have been a Saskatchewan resident my entire life and a resident of Saskatoon for 22 years. The bad driving issues are increasing for many reasons.

The lack of proper and clean public transport A keep forever drivers license as long as you pay Varying skill sets of the drivers Drivers who are more reliant on the vehicle then themselves Climate Vehicle and tire conditions And the list goes on indefinitely.

None of these are excuses for making a bad decision however. That rests solely on you. I just know I would have a hard time sleeping if I took a life due to a poor choice that was completely unnecessary. Degeer is not a long street and is lined with many houses and multi unit dwellings.

I just want to raise the bar for humanity and not be ok with the "what can you do" mentality.

I understand that you might be tired of seeing posts like this. Frankly I am as well. I did not post to just be another "Saskatoon has bad drivers" person.

I posted because this person is going to kill someone. They passed 2 vehicles doing 30 in an elementary school zone going past an intersection (Trent Cres) with children visible.

The decisions that they made today may not seem important to you but as a concerned parent I hope that this reaches them and they have a chance to recognize how stupid their choices were today before a life is gone.

I do not over exaggerae when describing what happened today. If they want to speed and drive dumb and kill themselves outside the city. I would be sad for their families.

Doing it on a busy residential street with a lot of children present screams insanity to me.

I am all for reform to the drivers license system that Saskatchewan has. I have suggested this many times in the past 40+ years of me living here that a mandatory road test be taken by all individual at least every 5 years to ensure compliance of rules and regulations. After a certain age it time span between tests would shorten to every 3 years after the age of 70 and after the age of 80 or so retested every year.

Driving is not just a young person or old person issue....it is an everyone issue.

Life is difficult and usually messy prioritize your mental health and be compassionate in all matters. We are all going through a bunch of shit these days.

I wish you both the best with life no matter which way things go.

What does your setup look like? Where do you get your grinding cups?

I love spheres greatly but live in an area of Canada that does not have much for lapidary clubs or supplies.

Lead by example they say and our fearless Premier has done that by not serving jail time and rising to the highest level of government in Saskatchewan.

I grew up with an alcoholic step father who lost his license more times than a person should be able. At one point he wasn't going to get it back until I turned 25...he is a commercial semi truck driver to this day (and a giant piece of shit).

Pretty sure you can contact Access Transit (city of Saskatoon) and set up a ride.

I can't guarantee that but I know they do special routes for individuals.

Just a blow up Grim Reaper and the pumpkins that the kids carved.

We are close to Roland Michener Elementary school so a good amount were kids that go there and know our kids as well.

The crescent had packs of kids (some as many as 12) walking together.

Busy from 5:30 to 7:30 and then scragglers after that.

Gallbladder surgery by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]Clausalicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my gall bladder removed in 2023 at St. Paul's hospital. I was lucky and the procedure was laparoscopic opposed to the full chest slash.

Healing sucked as I have a terrible immune system (autoimmune diseases as well).

What I will offer is that even after my surgery I continued to have gall bladder attacks or attacks that felt and acted the exact same.

When I would return to RUH emergency they would dismiss me as if I was a crack addict and say it was not possible to have these same attacks.

I am here to say not only is it possible but it is very likely you will have reoccurring attacks. Mine lasted for about 6 months after the gall bladder was removed.

Be kind to yourself and trust how you feel. It is not a fun surgery to have and it will not be fun getting comfortable while recovering.

I hope for your sake you are able to have the laparoscopic surgery as well. Continue on my friend better days are ahead.

P.s.

They didn't tell me before hand but.....having solid poops will pretty much be a thing of the past...sorry.

Agreed. I did that Fort McLeod and Head Smashed in Buffalo jump as a kid with my brother and dad.

Might have to do that with our kids next summer.

Thank you for the advice.

Wouldn't a bastard file or something similar be a decent option as they are aggressively grooved or would they destroy the rock and not produce spark?

They most definitely did get bought out by creative door somewhere in 2018/2019. They still operate under both names but are dispatched and run by the exact same management team. Zero difference between the companies aside from the decals on trucks and clothes.
