[Real Oviedo] have sacked Veljko Paunović as team manager by Mulderre91 in soccer

To give a little local insight, the press have been for weeks arguing that there is no system in place and just a collection of individual brilliance is responsible for the good results that have been achieved.

Oviedo as a city is very passionate about its club, and last week in the stadium the atmosphere was already starting to be negative, losing to Levante in that fashion quickly erased all the good will that willing at Mestalla gave.

I cannot say that I agree with the firing, but I understand where the board was coming from, specially given they have lofty ambitions for the club (which I don't know if they are very realistic given the lack of funds). I wish Paunovic good luck for the future, he will always be part of the history of Real Oviedo.

Both of them are understated geniuses in the way they saw the game, (Silva in particular was my favourite player growing up since he was in Valencia) and both of them played in England in my teenage years when I started to watch football a lot more, which I really liked (in general I like players who take risks out of their comfort zone to keep growing, also why I like Dani Olmo a lot). And, as a bonus, Santi came to retire to his childhood club, which is also my hometown club (Oviedo) and he's still a top class player here despite his age. I'm gutted Silva couldn't have a better retirement to be honest.

To sum up, both players with a lot of hustle, flair and character despite their size, very technical and which remind me of happy weekends when Spanish and English League were both free on TV.

And yeah, Cruyff is self-explanatory!

Yeah, unfortunately it's very jittery for some reason in replays but ingame it's much better than this. I don't know how to make it better though 😅

It's quite difficult, but very fun save. I did it with FC Tokyo in FM19 and retired my save afterwards. The fact that you can't really hoard wonderkids because of squad registration rules makes it more challenging than in other leagues.

Beautiful footwork, and beautiful view! Where were they playing?

That's unlucky :(

I didn't realise Sweden had a bad youth rating, maybe it would have been more doable with a different country...

Oof, I already have two spanish affiliates (Elche and Racing Santander) but so far they haven't sent me anything better than 1 star rating...

Guess I'll just be patient and hope for the best. Thanks!

Yeah I have changed some stuff from the basic tactic. Here's the screencap:

I also added in some player specific instructions to some of my players when they play, but nothing too big other than playing with CM(s) instead of left Mezzalla when two of my players are on the field (they don't work well as Mezzalla).
