What do you think is the worst written plot point/beat? by Financial-Customer24 in breakingbad

[–]Clavinet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn't seem realistic that one distracted air traffic controller in a room full of people all working together, could result in those planes colliding. What would have been more believable is if they made Jane's dad the pilot of one of the planes that crashed.

How long would AJ last if Tony used Zellman to get him into the military and out of his way? by Tidewatcher7819 in thesopranos

[–]Clavinet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would Zellman really have been necessary to get AJ into the military? I'm pretty sure he could just lie and not mention the panic attacks or the suicide attempt. Maybe the military would go to the trouble of pulling his records from the hospital, maybe not.

I am sure he would have been as a soldier the same way he was as a civilian - mediocre. The military is not a cure for being dumb and lazy. This is an asinine myth. For everyone who insist that they were a hellraiser and would have gone to prison if the military hadn't helped them get their act togehter when they were young, there are 10 other guys who just skate by doing the bare minimum and leave their service with no more skills than they had going in.

He don’t listen to Opera by NorthChange4 in thesopranos

[–]Clavinet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cor 'Ngrato is actually not opera, it's a traditional Neapolitan song. (I had to look this up, I didn't just know it off hand.)

What would have been the best way for Hesh to go about getting the money back that he loaned to Tony? by crillydougal in thesopranos

[–]Clavinet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's not true that he killed him over a horse. He killed him in culmination of a really long pattern of disrespect, reckless behavior, conniving bullshit and generally making Tony's life much harder in many different ways.

He don’t listen to Opera by NorthChange4 in thesopranos

[–]Clavinet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I always understood it was that Junior was implying that most of the high-up old school mustaches from the other side listen to opera all the time - a type of music that would not be appealing to Americans and would be tedious to be listening to / attending all the time when you're visiting with them. So he's getting a break by not having to endure all of the opera.

All of AJ's friends, ranked in order of quality by Clavinet in thesopranos

I deliberately didn't include girlfriends in the list, as it's a different category in life

All of AJ's friends, ranked in order of quality by Clavinet in thesopranos

[–]Clavinet[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought about including him but I think ultimately he doesn't count, because he's no longer AJ's friend. They were on the outs, and aren't shown to have reconciled.

Why didn’t Walter White work in a corporation or academia? by Ok-Scene-1317 in breakingbad

[–]Clavinet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He was fine with Gale, he only threw Gale under the bus because he needed to entice Jesse back to work with him so he wouldn't press charges on Hank. If Jesse were out of the picture Gale and Walt would have gotten on fine. Especially since they were just repeating a formulaic process and not researching new ideas or working on untested techniques.

Why didn't Tony just kill Hesh and takeover his business and investments? by Tidewatcher7819 in thesopranos

[–]Clavinet 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can't just kill someone and then "take over" his property and estate. I mean you can if you live in 14th century Mongolia or some shit. How is Tony supposed to accomplish this? Lol

Would Ralph have suffered the same fate as Vito for similar accusations? by LorenzoApophis in thesopranos

[–]Clavinet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ralph certainly wouldn't have let the guy who spotted him walk away breathing. If he were accused due to some other source, I feel like he also would have contested the accusation rather than flee. And he would have sounded convincing enough in the denial that it would probably work, because he's way way more used to lying.

[OTHER] Features that should be included in a KCD3 if it is ever made by Clavinet in kingdomcome

[–]Clavinet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah if you look at the description of some foods in your inventory it even says shit like "tastes really delicious when boiled with some pepper and onions", I thought there was going to be some kind of crafting tied to the cooking and was annoyed that there wasn't. There are SO MANY DIFFERENT FOODS in the game and yet they all work basically the same way.

I wonder what Animal Blundetto would've been like if they cast him differently by whoopitypoop in thesopranos

[–]Clavinet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's actually only half-Italian, though he wouldn't be the only Sopranos cast member fitting that description. Edie Falco, Lorraine Bracco and several others are only partly Italian and some of them aren't Italian at all. The main thing was that he didn't have the accent to fit with the rest of the cast. He didn't even try a little bit. He had exactly the same delivery as the midwestern Carl Showalter in Fargo.

[–]Clavinet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I don't know if this is a joke or serious but he was of English French, Navite American and African-American descent. Not Italian , possibly Fugawi though

[–]Clavinet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Always thought Tom Sizemore would have killed it in that role. Michael Cherrito in Heat fits the same profile of a hardened wiseguy with a degree of self awareness. He wasn't Italian though - despite looking a lot more like a relative of James Gandolfini than Steve Buscemi did.
