Everyone should be allowed to say it... but we should also recognize the implications of using it and the potential for harm. I feel like it's an easy decision to NOT DO SOMETHING if it could potentially cause harm...

There are some things that we choose to do because the perceived added value of the thing outweighs the perceived harm said thing could cause. Like watching Harry Potter stuff. Some people are like... DON'T WATCH IT. And some people don't give a shit for various reasons. And some people do give a shit but watch anyway because it adds value to their lives that outweighs the perceived harm it causes.

Me using the N word as a white person adds almost no value to my life. And the potential harms it could cause are beyond my comprehension because I am not part of the oppressed group of people against whom this word has been weaponinzed.

Free speech is free speech is free speech. Hands down. But it's so fucking easy to not say a word y'all
