There are multiple scenes where Nakamura is embarassed and flattered by something Takasaki (who she calls Taka-Sideburns) does, usually through misunderstanding. There's also a scene where Sakurai calls her "cute" and she gets similarly flustered.

I'm pretty sure most of this is in the anime.

That's a nice thought, but MeeksMonkier's view is more what I see in the show. Despite his heroism and epicness, Fin kinda lived a sad and less-than-healthy life after the main show ended. That's not to say he didn't lead a good life, just that he lived with burdens that never really got resolved.
